Al Darb launches its Outstation Development Programme
«الدرب للتقطير» يطلق برنامج «تطوير المحطات الخارجية»
Qatar Airways has launched its Outstation Development Programme, a curriculum designed to offer a combination of classroom training with practical on-the-job international placement experience. This new two-year programme for Qataris offers a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Aviation Management, a globally recognised qualification that will support nationals to become future leaders in the industry.
The DAS in Aviation Management offers a tailored syllabus and is a collaboration between Qatar Airways, University of Geneva and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
The aim of the programme will enable tomorrow’s aspiring aviation leaders to face the challenges of today while planning for growth in the future. Graduates of this programme will experience practical on-the-job shadowing in an outstation for one year before transferring into full-time positions across the Qatar Airways global network of more than 160 destinations.
Qatar Airways Group chief executive HE Akbar al-Baker said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of the Outstation Development Programme that supports the development of future leaders, and is in line with Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030.
“This unique partnership between Qatar Airways, University of Geneva and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) is designed to train and prepare our nationals to be innovative leaders in the aviation industry,” he said. “Participants will gain academic accreditation, along with significant industry knowledge and international expertise to combat future management challenges.”
To apply for the programme, Qataris must hold a Bachelor’s Degree issued within the last five years, and a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least three from an institution approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. QNV aims that by 2030, the nation will become an advanced society capable of sustaining its development and providing a high standard of living for its people. تطوير قادة المستقبل
وقال سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية: «يسرّنا أن نعلن عن إطلاق برنامج تطوير المحطات الخارجية الذي يدعم تطوير قادة المستقبل ويتماشى مع الجهود المبذولة لتحقيق رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030. إن هذه الشراكة الفريدة التي تجمع بين الخطوط الجوية القطرية وجامعة جنيف والاتحاد الدولي للنقل الجوي (إياتا)، صُمّمت من أجل تدريب المواطنين الموهوبين لكي يصبحوا قادة مبتكرين في قطاع الطيران، حيث سيحصل الخريجون على الاعتماد الأكاديمي، إلى جانب اكتسابهم المعرفة في مجال الطيران والخبرة الدولية لمواجهة تحديات الإدارة المستقبلية».
وللتقدم إلى البرنامج، يُشترط على المواطنين القطريين حيازة درجة بكالوريوس تم إصدارها خلال السنوات الخمس الماضية من مؤسسة معتمدة لدى وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي، وألا يقل المعدّل التراكمي (GPA) عن 3 (ثلاثة).
استدامة
وتهدف رؤية قطر الوطنية إلى أن تصبح البلاد بحلول عام 2030 مجتمعاً متقدماً قادراً على استدامة تنميته وتوفير مستوى معيشي مرتفع لشعبه. ولأجل هذه الغاية، وضعت قطر خطة طويلة الأمد نصب أعينها لتخطّي 5 تحديات، وهي: الحداثة مع المحافظة على التقاليد، واحتياجات الجيل الحالي والأجيال المقبلة، والنمو المستهدف والتوسّع غير المنضبط، ومسار التنمية وحجم ونوعية العمالة الوافدة المستهدفة، والتنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية وحماية البيئة وتنميتها.
كما يسعى فريق «الدرب للتقطير» إلى تزويد المواهب الوطنية بفرص تعليم وتطوير عالمية المستوى، بهدف العمل واكتساب تجارب وخبرات جديدة في مختلف بيئات العمل. ومن شأن دورات «إياتا» التدريبية منح فرص تعليمية خاصة بمجال الطيران، من خلال تقديم دورات مفيدة تعمل على صقل المهارات والخبرات ذات الصلة لدى العاملين في قطاع الطيران.
