Qatar’s Government Communications Office launches its Coronavirus (COVID-19) page

Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) is new strain of Coronavirus initially identified in Wuhan, China, and is now affecting communities across the globe. The State of Qatar has been taking all the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in order to ensure the safety of all its residents. These precautionary measures may change based on the latest guidance by the national health authorities and international organisations regarding the spread of COVID-19.
The Ministry of Public Health urges all citizens and residents to apply preventive measures to protect against infection as recommended by the Ministry on its website and social media accounts.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on all citizens, children of Qatari women and spouses of Qatari citizens to register their details through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs application or on its website so they may be contacted in case of emergencies.
A dedicated, round-the-clock call centre has been set up to answer all questions and enquiries related to COVID-19. The hotline number is 16000 and is toll-free.
The COVID-19 section of the GCO website is dedicated to providing up-to-date information and answers to the public’s frequently asked questions.
فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19)
فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19)، هو سلالة مستجدة (جديدة) من فيروس كورونا تم تحديدها لأول مرة في مدينة ووهان في الصين وانتقل إلى بلدان أخرى حول العالم. تقوم دولة قطر باتخاذ كافة الاجراءات الاحترازية للوقاية والحد من انتشار الفيروس حرصاً على حماية صحة وسلامة كافة أفراد المجتمع، وقد تطرأ على هذه الاجراءات تحديثات أخرى بناءً على مستجدات السلطات الصحية الوطنية والمنظمات الدولية.
وتحث وزارة الصحة العامة جميع المواطنين والمقيمين على تطبيق الإجراءات الوقائية للحماية من العدوى التي أوصت بها وزارة الصحة العامة على موقعها الإلكتروني وحساباتها على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي.
وتدعو وزارة الخارجية المواطنين وأبناء القطريات وأزواج القطريات وزوجات القطريين في الخارج لتسجيل بياناتهم عبر تطبيق الخارجية وموقع الوزارة، وذلك للتواصل معهم في حالات الطوارئ.
كما تم إنشاء مركز الاتصال الخاص بفيروس كورونا (كوفيد – 19) في وزارة الصحة العامة لتلقي أي بلاغات أو استفسارات تتعلق بالفيروس على مدار الساعة على رقم الاتصال المجاني (16000).
