Qatar advances 11 ranks in clean energy transition
قطر تتقدَّم 11 مرتبة في مجال التحوّل إلى الطاقة النظيفة
Doha – Al-Arab:
Over the past 12 months, Qatar has made significant progress in the transition to clean energy, advancing by 11 points in the World Economic Forum’s energy transition report and currently in second place in the Arab world after Morocco. Qatar was the first in the Economic Development and Growth Index in the world economic forum’s report yesterday.
This report is based on insights from the ENERGY TRANSFORMATION INDEX (ETI) 2020, which measures the performance of 115 economies in relation to their current performance in their energy systems — across the areas of economic development and growth, environmental sustainability, energy security, access indicators — and their willingness to switch to safe, sustainable, affordable and inclusive energy systems.

تمكنت قطر خلال 12 شهراً الماضية من إحراز تقدم كبير فيما يخصّ التحوّل إلى الطاقة النظيفة لتتقدم بمعدل إحدى عشرة نقطة في تقرير المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي الخاص بالتحوّل في مجال الطاقة وتحلّ ثانية عربياً -بعد المغرب. هذا وحلّت قطر أولى في مؤشر التنمية الاقتصادية والنمو المندرج في التقرير الذي أصدره المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي، أمس.
يعتمد هذا التقرير على رؤى مستمدة من مؤشر التحول في مجال الطاقة ETI) 2020)، الذي يقيس أداء 115 اقتصاداً فيما يتعلق بأدائهم الحالي في أنظمة الطاقة لديهم -وذلك عبر مجالات التنمية الاقتصادية والنمو، والاستدامة البيئية، وأمن الطاقة، ومؤشرات النفاذ والوصول- واستعدادهم للتحول إلى أنظمة طاقة آمنة ومستدامة ومعقولة التكلفة وشاملة.
