Ooredoo launches Mobile Data Plan Management System

Ooredoo announced yesterday at Mobile World Congress a new partnership with Google to become the MENA region’s first telecommunications company to launch a data plan management system. The service can be accessed by voice with the Google Assistant, enhancing the experiences of millions of customers by making it easier and faster to check and recharge prepaid mobile data.

Thanks to the partnership, Ooredoo Qatar’s prepaid Hala customers will be able to check and top up their mobile data plans from Settings on their Android phones or by using voice commands from the Google Assistant.
In order to keep Hala customers fully informed about their mobile data balance, customers will receive an automatic notification when they are about to run out of data.

Waleed Al Sayed, Chief Executive Officer, Ooredoo Qatar, said: “Ooredoo continues to deliver at the forefront of digital transformation, and Mobile World Congress is a perfect platform to announce our collaboration with Google. The news today will make it easier for our customers to manage their data plans.

As more of our customers need mobile data for work and leisure, the collaboration with Google on data plan management is one of many projects aimed to strengthen Ooredoo Qatar’s global technology and innovation leadership, and transforming our customer experience.”

Supporting widespread take-up, Hala customers who recharge their mobile data plans with Google can receive double data for a limited time through the introductory campaign period. Bonus data is available until midnight the next day after recharging.

Currently, Hala customers can choose from three different recharge values: QR5, which provides 210 MB of mobile data until midnight, QR10, which provides 500 MB of mobile data until midnight, or QR30, which provides 1 GB of mobile data available until midnight.

خطفت «ooredoo» الأضواء خلال المؤتمر العالمي للجوال، بعد الإعلان عن شراكة جديدة ونوعية مع «Google»، لتصبح أول شركة اتصالات في المنطقة توفر باقات بيانات الجوال من خلال «مساعد Google»؛ ما يمكّن العملاء من الحصول على تجربة جديدة ومتطورة سيستطيعون من خلالها تعبئة رصيد البيانات ومعرفته بسرعة وسهولة.

ومن خلال هذه الشراكة، سيتمكن عملاء خدمة «هلا» مسبقة الدفع في قطر من تعبئة رصيدهم ومعرفته عبر إعدادات «Android»، أو عبر خاصية الأوامر الصوتية من «مساعد Google».

وبهدف إبقاء عملاء «هلا» على دراية تامة بباقات البيانات الجوالة ورصيدهم طوال الوقت، فسيحصلون على تنبيهات تلقائية تتعلق باستخدامهم باقات البيانات، من خلال رسائل تظهر مباشرة على شاشات الجوال.

وعن هذه الشراكة المهمة، قال الرئيس التنفيذي لـ «ooredoo»، وليد السيد : «تواصل (ooredoo) ريادتها في تحقيق الإنجاز تلو الآخر، من خلال الإعلان عن ميزة باقات بيانات الجوال خلال محفل عالمي هو الأهم في قطاع الاتصالات مثل المؤتمر العالمي للجوال. ونحن ندرك أهمية باقات الجوال لعملائنا، سواء للعمل أو الترفيه. لذا، من شأن هذه الميزة الجديدة تعزيز مكانة قطر الريادية في مجال التكنولوجيا والابتكار، بالإضافة إلى تقديم تجربة عملاء لم يسبق لها مثيل».

واحتفالاً بهذا الإنجاز، أعلنت «ooredoo» عن تقديم عرض خاص لفترة محدودة لعملاء «هلا» الذين يستخدمون هذه الميزة، بحيث يحصلون على ضعف رصيد البيانات عند تعبئة باقات بيانات الجوال عبر «مساعد Google»، على أن يكون الرصيد الإضافي صالحاً حتى منتصف ليل اليوم التالي للتعبئة.

ويمكن لعملاء «هلا» حالياً الاختيار من 3 خيارات لإعادة تعبئة رصيد البيانات الجوالة: باقة 5 ريالات التي تمنح 210 ميجابايت صالحة حتى منتصف ليل اليوم نفسه، وباقة 10 ريالات تمنح 500 ميجابايت صالحة حتى منتصف ليل اليوم نفسه، أما باقة 30 ريالاً فستمنح العملاء 1 جيجابايت صالحة حتى منتصف ليل اليوم نفسه.
