The United States announced today that it plans to ease travel restrictions on all foreign visitors who have been fully vaccinated against Corona from November.
Jeff Zintz, the White House’s COV response coordinator, said the new rules will require all foreign nationals arriving in the United States to show evidence of full vaccination.
According to CNN, lifting travel restrictions to the United States from some countries will be welcome news for thousands of foreign nationals with families in the United States who have been separated from them for almost the entire epidemic.
Foreign nationals who have been fully vaccinated and U.S. citizens returning to the United States from abroad will be required to take a Covid-19 test before departure within 3 days of their flight, and to show evidence of a negative result before boarding.
Unvaccinated Americans returning to the United States “will be subject to stricter test requirements,” including a test from one day of departure and an additional test on their return, Zintz said. Passengers who have been fully vaccinated will not be quarantined upon arrival in the United States.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention plan to ask airlines to collect information from U.S.-bound travelers, including their phone number and email address, to alert travelers of any possible exposure to virus infections.
Airlines will be required to keep contact tracking information for 30 days, and these new guidelines will apply to all international flights.
The U.S. travel ban was first imposed in the early days of the epidemic, when then-President Donald Trump banned travel from China in January 2020, and then added other countries to the list, including the Schengen area, which includes 26 countries in Europe, along with Ireland and the United Kingdom. Brazil, South Africa and India were added separately, and the land border with Canada and Mexico was closed.

وسيُطلب من شركات الطيران الاحتفاظ بمعلومات تتبع جهات الاتصال لمدة 30 يوماً، وستنطبق هذه الإرشادات الجديدة على جميع الرحلات الدولية.
وتم فرض حظر السفر الأمريكي لأول مرة خلال الأيام الأولى من تفشي الوباء، عندما منع الرئيس دونالد ترامب آنذاك السفر من الصين في يناير 2020، ثم إضافة دول أخرى إلى القائمة بينها دول منطقة شنغن، التي تشمل 26 دولة في أوروبا، إلى جانب أيرلندا والمملكة المتحدة. وتمت إضافة البرازيل وجنوب أفريقيا والهند بشكل منفصل، كما تم إغلاق الحدود البرية مع كندا والمكسيك.
