‘Night Market’ to facilitate 60 start-up businesses

DOHA: Under the umbrella of Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), the joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, 60 start-up projects took part at the “Night Market”, the first market of its kind in Doha, during the nights of the holy month at the parking lot of the Al Duhail Sports Club.

The “Night Market” is a unique concept set for the first time in the State of Qatar, which depends on the processing of containers to be a distinct location for selling products and goods from different categories and facilitates the work and reduces the cost to tenants, especially for SMEs and start-ups entrepreneurs. It also meets the needs of the local community by offering a variety of products at a special gathering location during the holy month of Ramadan from 8 pm to 2am.

“Dukan Bedaya” is participating at the first edition of “Night Market” throughout Ramadan 2018 with 60 businesses working in different industries varying between spices, tea, coffee, clothing apparels, perfumes, accessories, incense, kids clothing, etc.

On this occasion, Reem Al-Suwaidi, General Manager of Bedaya Center, said: “We are participating at the first night market in town taking place at Al Duhail Sports Club with 60 businesses under Dukan Bedaya. Even though they work in different categories and lines of business, but they are in tune with the Ramadan atmosphere through the nature of their goods.”

“We have been able to provide the best opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their projects and communicate better with a large segment of society during the holy month of Ramadan where this participation represents a unique opportunity for them to display their products and their show their abilities in promoting their business and projects, especially with the Night Market’s special timing and working hours that are distinctive and suitable for the whole family and segments of the society.”

يشارك تحت مظلة مركز بداية لريادة الأعمال والتطوير المهني “60” مشروعاً في “نايت ماركت”، أول سوق من نوعه في قطر والذي تجري فعالياته للمرة الاولى خلال ليالي شهر رمضان المبارك في نادي الدحيل الرياضي.

يعتبر مشروع “نايت ماركت” فكرة فريدة من نوعها يتم تطبيقها للمرة الأولى في دولة قطر، والتي تعتمد على تجهيز الحاويات لتكون موقعاً متميزاً لبيع المنتجات على اختلاف فئاتها، مما يسهل العمل ويقلل التكلفة على المستأجرين خصوصاً من أصحاب المشاريع الناشئة والصغيرة، كما يلبي احتياجات المجتمع المحلي، لتوفيره تشكيلة متنوعة من المنتوجات المعروضة لتكون مكاناً مميزاً خلال شهر رمضان المبارك بدءاً من الساعة 8 مساءً وحتى 2 فجراً.

ويشارك دكان بداية في النسخة الأولى من “نايت ماركت” بـ”60″ مشروعاً طيلة فترة شهر رمضان المبارك، والتي تتنوع بين البهارات، والقهوة، والشاي، والملابس، والاكسسوارات، والعطور، والبخور، وملابس الأطفال، والتي تتناسب مع أجواء الشهر الفضيل.

في هذه المناسبة قالت السيدة ريم السويدي، مدير عام مركز بداية: “نشارك من خلال “نايت ماركت” في نادي الدحيل بـ (60) مشروعاً، ومع اختلاف منتجاتها، إلا أنهم تتناغم مع الأجواء الرمضانية من خلال طبيعة بضائعها، والتي تتماشى مع روحانية الشهر الفضيل. لقد استطعنا بفضل الله توفير الفرصة المثلى لرواد الأعمال لاستعراض مشاريعهم والتواصل بشكل أفضل مع شريحة كبيرة من المجتمع خلال شهر رمضان المبارك، حيث تمثل المشاركة فرصة مميزة لهم لعرض منتجاتهم وقدراتهم في النهوض بتلك المشاريع خصوصاً مع أوقات السوق المميزة والتي تناسب كافة أفراد الأسرة”.
