Amir Holds Phone Call with Palestinian President

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with HE President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday evening.
During the call, they discussed the latest developments in the situation in Palestine. HE the President briefed HH the Amir on the developments related to the pacification and the efforts to rebuild the Gaza Strip, expressing his sincere thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir for the role of the State of Qatar and its efforts in support of the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate national rights.
HH the Amir affirmed the importance of the unity of the Palestinian ranks, reiterating the State of Qatar’s continuous support to the brotherly Palestinian people and their just cause, and continuing its efforts with Arab and Islamic parties and related countries to stop the Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

جرى خلال الاتصال مناقشة آخر تطورات الأوضاع في فلسطين، وأطلع فخامة الرئيس سمو الأمير على المستجدات المتعلقة بالتهدئة والجهود الساعية لإعادة إعمار قطاع غزة، معربا فخامته عن خالص شكره وتقديره لسمو الأمير على دور دولة قطر وجهودها المبذولة والداعمة للشعب الفلسطيني لنيل حقوقه الوطنية المشروعة.
من جانبه، أكد سمو الأمير على أهمية وحدة الصف الفلسطيني، مجددا سموه موقف دولة قطر الداعم والمستمر للشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق وقضيته العادلة، ومواصلة جهودها مع الأطراف العربية والإسلامية والدول ذات العلاقة لوقف الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية على الشعب الفلسطيني والمسجد الأقصى المبارك.
