Hassad establishes local marketing & agricultural services company
“حصاد” تؤسس شركة محلية للتسويق والخدمات الزراعية
DOHA: As per the directives of the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the technical group of the Ministerial Group for the Encouragement and Participation of the Private Sector announced that Hassad Food Company, the leading investment company in the food sector, has established a local marketing and agricultural services company in order to support the private agricultural sector, to contribute to the nation’s self-sufficiency.
The new agricultural marketing company will support local farmers by marketing their products, as well as providing various other agricultural services, in order to increase the size and quality of local production, QNA reported.
The Chief Executive Officer of Hassad Food Company Mohamed bin Badr Al Sada, said in a statement that the company was pleased to announce the launch of a local government-supported agricultural marketing company.
Hassad seeks to support the local agricultural sector and encourage farmers to increase their production, because contributing to food security is the company’s main strategy, he stressed.
Al Sada explained that the company was launched in coordination with Qatar Chamber, which aims to reduce the burden on local farmers and encourage them to increase production through providing marketing and agricultural services to them.
One of the objectives of this strategic project is to buy the product from farmers and then market it in the local market, in addition to providing a number of other agricultural services
بتوجيهات من معالي الشيخ عبدالله بن ناصر بن خليفة آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، أعلنت المجموعة الوزارية لدعم وتحفيز القطاع الخاص عن قيام شركة حصاد الرائدة في الاستثمار في القطاع الغذائي ، بتأسيس شركة محلية للتسويق والخدمات الزراعية، وذلك بهدف دعم القطاع الخاص الزراعي، للمساهمة في تحقيق الاكتفاء الذاتي.
وستقوم شركة التسويق الزراعي الجديدة، بتقديم الدعم للمزارعين المحليين من خلال تسويق إنتاجهم، بالإضافة إلى تقديم خدمات زراعية أخرى متنوعة، وذلك بهدف زيادة حجم وجودة الإنتاج المحلي.
وقال السيد محمد بن بدر السادة، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة حصاد الغذائية ،في تصريح له، “إنه من دواعي سرورنا أن نعلن اليوم عن إطلاق شركة للتسويق الزراعي المحلي مدعومة حكوميًا، حيث إننا نسعى لتقديم الدعم للقطاع الزراعي المحلي وتشجيع المزارعين على زيادة إنتاجهم، لأن المساهمة في تحقيق الأمن الغذائي يتصدر أهداف شركة حصاد الاستراتيجية”.
وأوضح السادة أنه تم إطلاق هذه الشركة بالتنسيق مع غرفة تجارة قطر، حيث تهدف إلى تخفيف العبء عن المزارعين المحليين وتحفيزهم على زيادة الإنتاج، من خلال تقديم الخدمات التسويقية والزراعية لهم.
الجدير بالذكر أن أحد أهداف هذا المشروع الاستراتيجي قيام الشركة بشراء المنتج من المزارعين المحليين، ومن ثم تسويقه في السوق المحلية، بالإضافة إلى تقديم عدد من الخدمات الزراعية الأخرى.
