QP’s ‘Mustaqbalna’ forum – to usher in a brighter future
«قطر للبترول» تمكّن الشباب من قادة المستقبل
Qatar Petroleum (QP) has held its second ‘Mustaqbalna’ forum, which gave 450 Qatari nationals the opportunity to engage with its executive leadership team and further align with its strategy, business plan and future direction.
Mustaqbalna, meaning “our future” in Arabic, is designed to underline the role of young Qatari employees in shaping the future of Qatar Petroleum and in ensuring its continued growth and success.
This year’s two-day event was held under the theme ‘Empowerment’ and featured an interactive format that enabled participants to discuss how being empowered can make a positive difference in their career to effectively contribute to the growth and development of QP.
Addressing participants, HE the Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad Sherida al-Kaabi, who is also QP president and CEO, highlighted the importance of dedication and perseverance as the only way for professional advancement and effective leadership.
HE al-Kaabi said: “It is my greatest pleasure to see the future leaders of this great institution, and I am proud of the quality of Qatari talent that is playing an important and critical role in shaping Qatar Petroleum as it moves into a new chapter in its history.
“I am also pleased to see this great level of engagement with the leadership team, which helps you to get a feel of what is going on in terms of strategy and direction as well as of the values that we stand for as Qatar Petroleum.”
HE al-Kaabi drew on his own experience, which started in 1986 as a student joining QP, and the challenges he had faced in over three decades. He also advised the participating young Qataris “not to give up their dreams and to never stop trying.”
He said, “Your success is in your own hands. You need to be determined, resilient and patient, and to have a clear aim and a focused vision. And there is no doubt that you will be rewarded for good work. I am very happy to learn that the vast majority of Qataris that we have under development have a mindset of Qatar and what is best for Qatar and its future.
“Today, Qatar Petroleum is moving forward with great strides and determination to become one of the best national oil and gas companies in the world. We are enhancing our business growth strategy, expanding our international footprint, and consolidating our capabilities to assume our rightful place in the oil and gas industry. Having said that, I must stress that the only reason we have been so successful is because we have great people working for this institution as a team to implement that strategy.”
The forum also featured a question-and-answer session with HE al-Kaabi, the other members of QP’s Executive Leadership Team, and other senior officials.
The panel session provided an opportunity for all Qatari nationals to ask questions related to their careers and professional development, the current operations and ongoing projects of QP, and its strategic plans for the future.
نظمت «قطر للبترول» منتدى «مستقبلنا» الثاني، الذي أعطى الفرصة لحوالي 450 من موظفيها القطريين تحت التطوير، للتواصل مع أعضاء فريق الإدارة العليا، وللمواءمة مع استراتيجية المؤسسة وخطة أعمالها وتوجهها المستقبلي. ويهدف هذا الحدث السنوي إلى تعزيز دور القدرات القطرية الشابة في المساهمة في تشكيل مستقبل «قطر للبترول»، وتحقيق استمرارية نجاحها ونموها. وقد انعقد منتدى هذا العام لمدة يومين تحت شعار: «التمكين»، حيث عمل المشاركون في جلسات تفاعلية على بحث الأثر الإيجابي للتمكين على مستقبلهم، وعلى قدرتهم على المساهمة في نمو وتطوّر «قطر للبترول».
مثابرة
سعادة المهندس سعد بن شريده الكعبي وزير الدولة لشؤون الطاقة، العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي لـ «قطر للبترول»، سلط الضوء على أهمية الالتزام والتفاني والمثابرة، كسبيل وحيد للتقدم المهني، وللقيادة الفعّالة.
وقال سعادته في معرض حديثه للموظفين القطريين تحت التطوير: «إنه لمن دواعي سروري أن أرى قادة المستقبل في هذه المؤسسة العظيمة، وأن أعبّر عن اعتزازي بنوعية وطبيعة القدرات والكفاءات القطرية، التي تلعب دوراً مهماً وأساسياً في رسم دور قطر للبترول، وهي تنتقل إلى فصل جديد في تاريخها. كما يسعدني أن أرى هذا المستوى الكبير من التواصل مع فريق القيادة التنفيذية، الذي يساهم في وضعكم في صورة ما يجري من حيث توجهنا واستراتيجيتنا، إضافة إلى القيم التي نمثّلها في قطر للبترول».
تجربة
وتحدث سعادته عن تجربته الخاصة التي بدأت عام 1986 كطالب في «قطر للبترول»، وعن كل التحديات التي واجهها خلال أكثر من ثلاثة عقود، مطالباً الشباب القطري بعدم التخلي عن أحلامهم، وبعدم الاستسلام وعدم التوقف عن المحاولة، وقال سعادته: «إن نجاحكم بين يديكم، وعليكم أن تصمموا على النجاح، وأن تتمتعوا بالمرونة، وأن تتحلوا بالصبر، وأن يكون لديكم هدف واضح، ورؤية مركزة، ولا شك أنكم ستكافأون على العمل الجيد والمخلص. أود هنا أن أعبر عن بالغ سعادتي عندما علمت أن الغالبية العظمى من موظفينا القطريين تحت التطوير يضعون مصلحة قطر وما هو الأفضل لقطر ومستقبلها في مركز اهتمامهم».
إصرار
وأضاف سعادة المهندس الكعبي: «إن قطر للبترول تسير اليوم بخطا واسعة، وبإصرار كبير، لتصبح واحدة من أفضل شركات النفط والغاز الوطنية في العالم، وهذه مرحلة مهمة نعزز فيها استراتيجية نمو أعمالنا، ونوسع حضورنا الدولي، ونعزز قدراتنا لنحتل مكاننا الصحيح والمُستحق في صناعة النفط والغاز. ولا بد لي هنا من التأكيد على أن السبب الوحيد الذي حققنا من خلاله هذه النجاحات الكبيرة يتمثل في جودة رأسمالنا البشري العامل، الذي يعمل في هذه المؤسسة كفريق واحد لتنفيذ استراتيجيتنا».
وقد تضمّن المنتدى جلسة حوارية تفاعلية مع سعادة المهندس سعد بن شريده الكعبي وزير الدولة لشؤون الطاقة، العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي لـ «قطر للبترول»، شارك فيها أعضاء فريق الإدارة التنفيذية العليا في «قطر للبترول»، وغيرهم من كبار المسؤولين. وقد أتاحت جلسة النقاش فرصة لجميع القطريين تحت التطوير، من أجل طرح ما يشاؤون من أسئلة تتعلق بوظائفهم وبالتطور المهني، وعمليات ومشاريع «قطر للبترول»، وخططها الاستراتيجية المستقبلية.;
