70% of high school students received the vaccine

Doha: Mohammed Al-Bishri, Advisor to the Minister of Education and Higher Education, confirmed that 70% of high school diploma students have received the vaccine against the Coronavirus (Covid-19), and 97% of the educational and administrative staff in public and private schools have received the vaccine since the beginning of the national vaccination program.

Al-Bishri said, to the Social Distance program on Qatar TV yesterday, that coordination has been made with the Ministry of Public Health, provided that the dates of vaccination of students do not coincide with the end-of-year examinations, and in the event of a student’s health illness due to the side effects that accompany the vaccination, he/she must go to the health center to assess his/her condition if he/she was calling for medical excuse and absenteeism.

On preparing for the tests, he said that the ministry prepared well for the tests, and all precautionary measures were taken into consideration and the schedules were distributed in a way that takes into account social distancing for all stages, with sterilization being carried out for all parts of government and private schools at the state level before starting the tests,

Coordination has also been made with Karwa and the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and coordination with the Ministry of Public Health to isolate bus drivers from the rest of the drivers, and checking their temperatures daily in addition to daily sterilization of buses.

He stressed that there are no exceptions to attending exams for all grades from the first to the twelfth, and the only exception is in the event that a student suffers from Coronavirus or is in contact, with the need for a medical certificate to prove this, and they will be compensated for the second-round exams.

الدوحة: أكد محمد البشري مستشار وزير التعليم والتعليم العالي تلقي 70% من طلبة الشهادة الثانوية العامة اللقاح ضد فيروس كورونا «كوفيد-19» وتلقي 97% من الكادر التعليمي والإداري بالمدارس الحكومية والخاصة منذ بداية برنامج التطعيم الوطني.

وقال البشري، لبرنامج المسافة الاجتماعية المذاع على تلفزيون قطر أمس، إنه تم التنسيق مع وزارة الصحة العامة على ألا تتزامن مواعيد تطعيم الطلبة مع اختبارات نهاية العام، وفي حال حدوث وعكة صحية للطالب بسبب الآثار الجانبية التي تصاحب التطعيم، عليه التوجه للمركز الصحي لتقييم حالته إذا كانت تستدعي الحصول على عذر طبي والغياب.

وحول الاستعداد للاختبارات، قال إن الوزارة استعدت جيدًا للاختبارات وتم مراعاة كافة الإجراءات الاحترازية وتوزيع الجداول بما يراعي التباعد الاجتماعي لكافة المراحل مع إجراء التعقيم لجميع أنحاء المدارس الحكومية والخاصة على مستوى الدولة قبل أداء الاختبارات، كما تم التنسيق مع كروة ووزارة المواصلات والاتصالات والتنسيق مع وزارة الصحة العامة لعزل سائقي الباصات عن باقي السائقين ويتم التأكد من درجات حرارتهم يوميًا بالإضافة إلى تعقيم يومي للحافلات.

وشدد على أنه لا توجد أي استثناءات في حضور الاختبارات لجميع الصفوف من الأول وحتى الثاني عشر والاستثناء الوحيد هو في حال إصابة أحد الطلاب بكورونا أو مخالطته، مع ضرورة شهادة طبية تثبت ذلك، وسيتم تعويضهم في اختبارات الدور الثاني.
