Qatar Met department warns of strong winds and high temperature Tuesday
«الأرصاد» تحذر من رياح قوية وارتفاع بدرجات الحرارة الثلاثاء

“Very hot” conditions are again expected in the country Monday, while northwesterly fresh to strong winds are likely to begin affecting the northern parts of Qatar by dawn Tuesday, gradually extending to all areas during the day.
Informing this Sunday, the Qatar Met department said the wind speed will be 15-22 knots Tuesday, reaching a high of 30 knots at times. This, in turn, will result in blowing dust and low visibility at times, especially in the open areas, and there is a marine warning too for high waves.
Also, the hot weather conditions will continue Tuesday with the maximum temperature hovering around the mid-40Cs in Doha.
The Met department has urged people to avoid going to sea Tuesday and follow the latest updates through its official social media accounts.
Meanwhile, Monday’s forecast says “very hot” daytime conditions are expected in the country along with slight dust in some places.
The country experienced a maximum temperature of 49C Sunday in the Qatar University area, Abu Hamour, Batna and Turayna, followed by 48C in Sheehaniyah and Karana, 47C in Doha (airport area), Mesaieed, Ghuwairiyah and Jumayliyah, 46C in the Hamad International Airport area and Al Khor, and 45C in Abu Samra, the weather charts show.
On Monday, the maximum temperature is likely to be 48C in Wakrah and Mesaieed, 47C in Doha and 45C in Al Khor.
The forecast also states that there is a warning for strong winds and high seas in offshore areas by this afternoon, along with slight dust.
The wind speed will be 5-15 knots, going up to 25 knots by the afternoon, while the sea level may rise to 6-8ft.

وقالت الأرصاد في منشور عبر حساباتها بمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي: ” من المتوقع أن تتأثر البلاد برياح شمالية غربية نشطة إلى قوية السرعة على المناطق الشمالية داخل البحر فجر الثلاثاء 2019/7/2″.
وأهابت إدارة الأرصاد الجوية بالجميع ضرورة تجنب الأنشطة البحرية ومتابعة أخر التحديثات عبر حساباتها.
