QRCS Provides Humanitarian Services in Palestine

Doha: The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) said that its field teams, via its representative mission in the Gaza Strip, continue assessing the situation, the damage, and humanitarian needs, after visiting the destroyed sites due to the Israeli occupation bombing and following up the cases of the injured in the Palestinian hospitals in Gaza.

The QRCS team in the Gaza Strip donated blood at the Central Blood Bank at the Shifa Medical Center in the Gaza Strip in response to the Ministry of Health and its hospitals requesting the need to support health staff. Also, QRCS secured free psychological counseling sessions with specialized doctors to support those affected and provide psychological services.

In cooperation with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, the eight ambulances previously donated by QRCS via previous projects to their Palestinian counterpart, support medical personnel and emergency teams and transport the wounded and injured in the West Bank.

Also, the private ambulance and motorcycle ambulance, which have been secured to operate inside the corridors and alleys of the Old City of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, are supporting the medical teams.

QRCS has allocated USD 1 million as an initial move and an urgent response to secure the necessary needs via the provision of medicines and medical consumables to keep pace with the acute consumption of these materials in the current situation, and to provide ambulances, medical equipment to hospitals, materials to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), food and non-food items, and partial repair of damaged homes.

الدوحة: أعلن الهلال الأحمر القطري عن استمرار عمل فرقه الميدانية عبر بعثته التمثيلية في قطاع غزة في متابعة تقييم الأوضاع وتقدير الأضرار والاحتياجات الإنسانية، حيث تمت زيارة عدد من المواقع التي تعرضت لأضرار جراء القصف الذي تشنه قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، بالإضافة إلى زيارة ومتابعة حالات المصابين في المستشفيات الفلسطينية في غزة.

وقام فريق عمل الهلال الأحمر القطري المتواجد في قطاع غزة بالتبرع بالدم في بنك الدم المركزي في مركز الشفاء الطبي في قطاع غزة استجابة لطلب وزارة الصحة ومستشفياتها بضرورة مساندة الطواقم الصحية، كما قام الهلال بتأمين عقد جلسات استشارات نفسية مجانية مع أطباء مختصين لدعم المتضررين وتقديم الخدمات النفسية.

ومن جانب آخر وبالتعاون مع الهلال الفلسطيني فإن سيارات الإسعاف التي كان قد تبرع بها الهلال الأحمر القطري عبر مشاريع سابقة لنظيره الفلسطيني وعددها 8 سيارات تقوم بمساندة الكوادر الطبية وفرق الطوارئ ونقل الجرحى والمصابين في الضفة، كما تعمل سيارة الإسعاف الخاصة ودراجة الإسعاف التي تم تأمينها للعمل داخل أروقة وممرات البلدة القديمة بالقدس والمسجد الأقصى بممارسة مهمتها الطبية.

يذكر أن الهلال الأحمر القطري كان قد أعلن عن تخصيص مبلغ مليون دولار أمريكي كتحرك أولي واستجابة عاجلة لتأمين الاحتياجات الضرورية من خلال توفير أدوية ومستهلكات طبية لمجاراة الاستهلاك الحاد في هذه المواد في الوضع الراهن، وسيارات إسعاف، وتوفير تجهيزات طبية للمستشفيات، ومواد الوقاية من انتشار وباء كورونا (كوفيد-19)، ومواد غذائية وغير غذائية، وتصليح المنازل المتضررة بشكل جزئي.
