Barbecue and shisha are not allowed on Al-Wakrah public beach!

Doha: Al Wakrah Beach goers were surprised when they found out that barbecue and any other means of setting fire are not allowed, the security personnel at the entrance gates warned beach goers not to set fire on the beach for any reason. Public and family beaches are experiencing a high demand as the weather improves and temperatures drop, prompting families and young people to visit beaches for activities other than swimming, such as cooking food, barbecue and set heating fires.
Al Wakrah public Beach is one of the beaches opened nearly 3 years ago and provided an important tourist service to the residents of the city and other residents of other areas and cities because of its large area, as well as the availability of all important services, primarily public parking, toilets, umbrellas, lighting and a walkway along approximately 3 km. Al Wakrah Beach features 12 toilet buildings with 60 men’s and women’s toilets, 36 shower rooms, changing rooms and 7 service buildings, a beach walkway of approximately 3 kilometres, nearly 600 parking spaces, green spaces and trees.

الدوحة: فوجئ روّاد شاطئ الوكرة العام بمنع الشواء وأي وسيلة أخرى لإشعال النيران بقيام أفراد الأمن عند بوابات الدخول بالتنبيه على الروّاد بعدم إشعال النيران داخل الشاطئ لأي سببٍ من الأسباب. وتشهد الشواطئ العامة وشواطئ العائلات إقبالًا كبيرًا من الروّاد مع تحسّن الأجواء وتراجع درجات الحرارة الذي يدفع الأسر والشباب لزيارة الشواطئ لمُمارسة بعض الأنشطة غير السباحة مثل طهي الأطعمة والشّواء وإشعال نيران التدفئة.
وشاطئ الوكرة العام يعدّ أحد الشواطئ التي تم افتتاحُها قبل 3 أعوام تقريبًا، وقدم خدمة سياحية مهمة لسكان المدينة وباقي سكان المناطق والمدن الأخرى لتميّزه بمساحته الكبيرة، فضلًا عن توفر جميع الخدمات المهمة، وفي مقدمتها المواقف العامة ودورات المياه والمظلات والإنارة وممشى على طول 3 كم تقريبًا. ويضم شاطئ الوكرة 12 مبنى لدورات المياه تحتوي على 60 دورة مياه للرجال والنّساء و36 غرفة للاستحمام، وغرف لتبديل الملابس و7 مبانٍ خدمية، وممشى الشاطئ الذي يمتدّ لما يقارب 3 كيلومترات، وما يقارب 600 موقف سيارة، فضلًا عن توفّر مساحات خضراء وأشجار.
