HMC Opens Sealine Medical Clinic for Camping Season

Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will open on Thursday the Sealine Medical Clinic in the Sealine area of Qatar for the camping season 2022/2023.

The Sealine Medical Clinic has been operating for 13 years began providing Sealine and Khor Al Udaid campers and visitors and will re-start its services immediately ensuring HMC continues to provide safe, compassionate, and effective healthcare services to all patients in Qatar.

The clinic operates from 3pm on Thursdays until 5pm on Saturdays throughout the camping season.

Ali Abdulla Al Khater, Chief Communications Officer at HMC and Project Manager of the Sealine Medical Clinic, said the that the clinic plays an important role in serving campers and visitors which is also part of HMC’s commitment to provide healthcare services to the community in Qatar.

Al Khater added that the clinic is located on a main road adjacent to the Sealine beach to enable an easy access to the clinic. The clinic provides medical and ambulance services to all Sealine and Khor Al Udaid campers throughout the camping season.

He also extended his appreciation to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change for their continued cooperation with HMC to operate the Sealine Medical Clinic project and all the respective parties for maintaining amenities and services to campers and visitors. This includes restaurants and cafes which have enabled the area to become an important tourist attraction in Qatar.

Al Khater also advised campers and visitors to Sealine to follow safety and security measures to avoid any potential injuries.

Dr. Mosallam Mosaad Al Mosallam, General Practitioner at HMC and Medical Officer of the Sealine Medical Clinic said that the clinic receives all medical and urgent cases and is equipped with a helipad and is staffed with a doctor and a nurse working under the supervision of the medical official.

“The cases vary from simple to mild including colds, stomach flu, burns and simple injuries and are all managed at the clinic which is equipped with all the medical supplies needed to treat these cases. Severe or urgent cases are transferred immediately to the hospital by ambulance or the air ambulance,” said Dr. Al Mosallam.

Dr. Mosallam advised all Sealine campers and visitors to take precautions while swimming and urged the public to follow safety measures and traffic instructions to enjoy a safe and healthy camping season.

Saleh Al Marri, Executive Director for Events and Emergency Preparedness at HMC’s Ambulance Service, said that Ambulance Service coverage in the Sealine area operates 24/7 with two standard response vehicles as well as two 4×4 vehicles which are deployed for transporting patients from the sand dune areas to either the clinic, a standard ambulance vehicle, or to the helipad.

“HMC’s Ambulance Service will increase the number of ambulances to six, and five 4x4s during weekends and official holidays,” he said. “Air ambulance helicopters, paramedics, critical care paramedics, rapid response paramedics, supervisors, liaison officers, and operations managers will also be dispatched by the Events and Emergency Preparedness Section at the Ambulance Service according to its predetermined lead and control plans for events to ensure optimum coverage in Sealine area during the camping season.”

الدوحة: أعلنت مؤسسة حمد الطبية عن افتتاح عيادتها لموسم التخييم الشتوي 2022 – 2023 في منطقة /سيلين/ اعتبارا من اليوم /الخميس/، وذلك للسنة الثالثة عشرة على التوالي، حيث تستمر أنشطة العيادة حتى نهاية موسم التخييم.

وتفتح عيادة حمد الطبية لموسم التخييم في /سيلين/ أبوابها كل يوم خميس، عند الساعة الثالثة عصرا، وتستمر أعمالها دون انقطاع حتى يوم السبت عند الساعة الخامسة مساء، وذلك في كل أسبوع، وفي نفس المواعيد من الخميس إلى السبت طوال فترة التخييم.

وأكد علي عبدالله الخاطر رئيس الاتصال المؤسسي بمؤسسة حمد الطبية، ومدير مشروع مركز سيلين، على الدور الهام الذي تؤديه العيادة في خدمة مرتادي الشاطئ والتخييم بمنطقة /سيلين/، والذي يأتي في إطار قيام مؤسسة حمد الطبية بمسؤوليتها تجاه توفير الخدمات الصحية لجميع سكان الدولة في كافة مناطق البلاد.

وأشار إلى أن العيادة متواجدة في موقعها المعتاد في واجهة شاطئ سيلين، حيث يمتاز هذا الموقع بسهولة الوصول وانتقال المرضى من وإلى العيادة، حيث توفر الخدمات الطبية والإسعافية لجميع رواد منطقة سيلين وخور العديد خلال فترة التخييم، منوها بتعاون وزارة البيئة والتغير المناخي مع مؤسسة حمد الطبية، لتنفيذ مشروع العيادة الطبي.

ودعا الخاطر جميع رواد المنطقة لاتباع إرشادات الأمن والسلامة، وأخذ الحيطة والحذر للوقاية من الحوادث والإصابات والأمراض المحتملة.

من جهته، أكد الدكتور مسلم مساعد مسلم أخصائي الطب العام بمؤسسة حمد الطبية والمسؤول الطبي عن عيادة حمد الطبية لموسم التخييم، أن العيادة تستقبل جميع الحالات المرضية والطارئة، ويتوافر بجانبها مهبط لطائرات الإسعاف، كما يتواجد بها طبيب وممرض تحت إشراف المسؤول الطبي للعيادة، موضحا أن الحالات المرضية التي تستقبلها العيادة تتنوع بين حالات بسيطة أو متوسطة، وتشمل نزلات البرد والنزلات المعوية والحروق والجروح البسيطة التي يتم التعامل معها بمقر العيادة مباشرة، أما الحالات المرضية الشديدة أو الحالات الحرجة فيتم نقلها على الفور إلى المستشفى عن طريق سيارات الإسعاف أو الإسعاف الطائر، وفقا لتصنيف الحالة.

ومن جانبه، ذكر صالح المقارح المري مساعد المدير التنفيذي لخدمات الإسعاف للفعاليات وخطط الطوارئ بمؤسسة حمد الطبية، أن تغطية الإسعاف مستمرة بمنطقة سيلين على مدار 24 ساعة طوال أيام الأسبوع، حيث تتواجد بشكل دائم سيارتا إسعاف اعتياديتان بالإضافة الى سيارتي إسعاف دفع رباعي لنقل الحالات المرضية من مناطق الـكثبان الرملية إلى عيادة سيلين أو الى موقع سيارة الإسعاف العادية أو مهبط الإسعاف الجوي حسب الحاجة.

ولفت إلى أن خدمة الإسعاف تقوم بزيادة عدد سيارات الإسعاف المتواجدة في منطقة المخيمات بسيلين في أيام العطلة الأسبوعية (عصر الخميس والجمعة والسبت) وأيام الإجازات المدرسية والمناسبات إلى 6 سيارات إسعاف عادية، مع توفير عدد 5 سيارات إسعاف ذات الدفع الرباعي، وذلك للاستجابة لحالات الطوارئ في الكثبان الرملية بكل مرونة وسلاسة وبدون أي معوقات وبأوقات قياسية، مشيرا إلى توفير خدمة الإسعاف الجوي والدفع بالعديد من الكوادر الطبية التي شملت المسعفين ومسعفي الحالات الحرجة ومسعفي التدخل السريع والمشرفين وضباط الاتصالات ومسؤولي العمليات، حيث تم توزيع هذه الكوادر طبقا لخطط منظومة القيادة والسيطرة للفعاليات والعمليات اليومية والمحددة سلفا من قبل قسم تخطيط الطوارئ والفعاليات بإدارة خدمات الإسعاف، تماشيا مع أهداف وخطط التغطية الطبية لموسم التخييم.
