National Museum of Qatar launches Youth Ambassadors Forum

DOHA: The National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) has launched its Youth Ambassadors Forum.

The Forum allows the museum to work in collaboration with young people between the ages of 16 and 21 to facilitate informal discussions and workshops about what kind of engaging programmes young people would like to see at their national museum.

Qatar Museums has dedicated significant resources to engaging young people across the country to nurture creativity and appreciation for art through a myriad of education programmes ranging from school visits to teacher training. Gathering insights from NMoQ Youth Ambassadors for how these programmes can better serve them is an extension of this approach.

NMoQ is set to give voice to the country’s rich heritage and history whilst celebrating its future. Exhibitions will combine historic objects and contemporary influences, opening up a dialogue around the impact of rapid change. Innovative presentation techniques will excite audiences.

أعلن متحف قطر الوطني عن إطلاق منتداه للسفراء الشباب، والذي يعد بمثابة منصة يتواصل من خلالها المتحف مع الشباب، الذين تتراوح أعمارهم ما بين 16 و21 عاماً، عبر مجموعة من النقاشات وورش العمل غير الرسمية، للاستماع إلى آرائهم حول نوعية البرامج الشيقة التي يودون رؤيتها في متحفهم الوطني.

وتخصِّص متاحف قطر جميع الموارد اللازمة للتواصل مع الشباب في جميع أنحاء الدولة، انطلاقاً من رسالتها الرامية إلى رعاية الإبداع، وزيادة تقدير الفنون، وذلك عبر مجموعة من البرامج التثقيفية، بدءاً من الزيارات المدرسية، وحتى تدريب المعلمين. ويمثل منتدى متحف قطر الوطني للسفراء الشباب امتداداً لهذا النهج، حيث يتم من خلاله التعرف على آراء الشباب حول أفضل طريقة لتصميم البرامج التي تناسبهم.

يشار إلى أن متحف قطر الوطني يعد أحد أبرز المشروعات الثقافية في قطر، وواحداً من أكثر المتاحف الوطنية طموحاً على مستوى العالم، ويسعى لمنح دولة قطر صوتاً تعبر من خلاله عن تراثها الغني وانفتاحها على المستقبل. وستضم معارض المتحف مقتنيات تاريخية وأعمالاً معاصرة بارزة تثير النقاش حول تأثير التغيير السريع في المجتمعات.

كما يتمتع المتحف بأحدث تقنيات العرض التي ستبهر الزائرين، وتدفع بمعايير المتاحف إلى أبعد الحدود.
