Bloomberg reveals details of the first vaccination with Pfizer vaccine

Doha: After Britain became the first western country, and perhaps in the whole world, to approve the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine, and amid news about the availability of the vaccine in London next week. it seems that the Britain will be the first people on earth to be vaccinated.

Bloomberg Agency answers many questions.

The US agency says that approximately 67 million people in Britain will not be vaccinated overnight, indicating that the United Kingdom has requested sufficient doses of the Pfizer vaccine to immunize 20 million people.

Who will get the vaccine first?

The documents show that the British government plans to prioritize when it starts rolling out the vaccine, starting with residents and staff in care homes, then moving on to people over the age of 80 and healthcare workers.

According to the agency’s report, Britain will vaccinate the entire population after that, based on age and risk, and it is expected that the vaccination will be available from next week.

Here are the UK government’s priority rankings for vaccination:

all of those 75 years of age and over

All those aged 70 years and over

I live in the UK; how will I know when I can get the vaccine?

The agency says people will be contacted directly when it is their turn to get vaccinated, according to the Ministry of Health and Welfare until then, they should wait.

British Health Minister Matt Hancock tells Sky News that 50 hospitals in the UK are ready to administer the vaccine.

“This is no different from any other vaccine,” said Shawn Mariette – who handles the distribution of the vaccine – “You go to your center, roll up your sleeves, and receive the vaccination in your arm.”

Where is the vaccine currently?

The agency says the vaccine is still at Pfizer’s production site in Burs, Belgium, and the doses will be shipped to the UK by truck or plane and will be available there next week, according to BioNTech executives.

تقول الوكالة إنه سيتم الاتصال بالناس مباشرة عندما يحين دورهم للحصول على التطعيم، وفقًا لوزارة الصحة والرعاية الاجتماعية حتى ذلك الحين، يجب أن ينتظروا.
