Qatar Tourism Q3 Performance Report Highlights Hospitality Sectors Growth

Doha: Qatar Tourism shared its Q3 2021 performance report of the tourism and hospitality sectors, offering a detailed analysis and monitoring of the two sectors in the State of Qatar. The report covers the period between July to September 2021.
According to the report, hotel accommodation supply grew 4 percent in comparison to September 2020 with a total of 29.2 thousand keys by the end of Q3 2021 compared to 28.2 thousand during the same period last year. Deluxe and standard hotel apartments category witnessed the biggest growth of 9 percent.
Speaking of hotel accommodation supply, hospitality sector, excluding properties utilized for quarantine purpose, recorded a 14 percent growth in overall occupancy rates compared to the same period last year.
The occupancy rate averaged 62 percent across Q3 2021, compared to 54 percent across the same period last year. The report also shows a 13 percent growth in the average room rate (ARR) (to 406 QR) and a 29 percent increase in revenue per available room (RevPAR) (to 286 QR), compared with the same period last year.
Various factors have contributed to the recovery of the hospitality sector such as Shop Qatar 2021 promotions and all hotels registered with Qatar Tourism acquiring “Qatar Clean” certification.
It is most likely that the country will witness a gradual increase in the number of visitors as global travel resumes and as the country prepares to host more popular events in the coming months.

الدوحة: أصدر جهاز قطر للسياحة، تقرير الربع الثالث الخاص برصد وتحليل مؤشرات الأداء الرئيسية لقطاعي السياحة والضيافة في دولة قطر، خلال الفترة من يوليو إلى سبتمبر لعام 2021.
يشير التقرير إلى نمو في المعروض من مفاتيح الغرف بلغت 4% بالمقارنة مع نهاية سبتمبر 2020، حيث بلغ إجمالي معروض وحدات الإقامة 29.2 ألف مفتاح بنهاية الربع الثالث من 2021 بالمقارنة مع 28.2 ألف مفتاح لنفس الفترة من 2020، وشهدت فئة الشقق الفندقية الفاخرة والعادية أكبر نسبة نمو بلغت 9%.
على الجانب الآخر من زيادة المعروض من المفاتيح، سجل قطاع الضيافة (ماعدا العقارات المستخدمة لأغراض الحجر الصحي) نموا بنسبة 14% في نسب الإشغال مقارنة بالفترة نفسها من العام الماضي.
وبلغت نسبة الإشغال الإجمالية 62% خلال الربع الثالث من عام 2021، مقارنة بـ 54% لنفس الفترة من عام 2020، كما يشير التقرير إلى زيادة بنسبة 13% في متوسط سعر الغرفة (406 ريالات قطرية) وزيادة بنسبة 29% في العائد على الغرفة المتاحة (286 ريالًا قطريًا) مقارنة بالفترة نفسها من العام الماضي.
بينما ساهمت عوامل مختلفة على انتعاش قطاع الضيافة مثل عروض مهرجان التسوق وحصول جميع الفنادق التابعة لقطر للسياحة على اعتماد قطر نظيفة .
ومن المتوقع أن تشهد الدولة زيادة تدريجية في أعداد الزوار وحركة السياحة بشكل عام نتيجة لاستئناف حركة السفر عالميا وتنظيم فعاليات جماهيرية في الأشهر المقبلة.
