Qatar to soon launch jobs portal for citizens: MADLSA

Qatar will soon launch a jobs portal for Qataris in line with a Cabinet-approved draft decision on determining the ratio of Qatari to non-Qatari employees in the private sector.

The Cabinet on Wednesday approved a draft decision to increase the percentage of Qataris working in state-owned companies, in firms where the state has invested more than 60 percent of the capital and in entities that are subject to the retirement and pension laws.

Abdullah Muslim Al Dosari, the Assistant Undersecretary for Development Affairs at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs said the private sector companies subject to the draft decision can place their job requirements on the portal.

In a press conference convened to explain the draft decision, Dosari said by private sector, the draft decision means “companies owned or contributed to by the state, and other entities subject to the retirement and pensions law.”

Dosari said companies that are not subject to the retirement law are not included in the decision to raise Qatarization rates.

“We are working to eliminate the concerns of job seekers in the private sector and there are job guarantees for every citizen working in the private sector,” he added.

كشف السيد عبدالله مسلم الدوسري وكيل الوزارة المساعد لشؤون التنمية بوزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية، عن أنه سيتم قريبا إطلاق منصة إلكترونية جديدة تتيح للقطريين الراغبين في الالتحاق بالوظائف، إمكانية التعرف على الوظائف المتاحة، كما ستوفر المنصة إمكانية قيام الشركات الخاصة بوضع الوظائف الشاغرة والمطلوبة، وذلك في إطار تنفيذ مشروع قرار رفع نسبة القطريين إلى (60 بالمئة) من العاملين في الشركات المملوكة للدولة أو التي تساهم فيها، والجهات الأخرى الخاضعة لقانون التقاعد والمعاشات.

جاء ذلك خلال لقاء صحفي عقد بمقر الوزارة اليوم، لتوضيح آليات مشروع قرار رفع نسبة القطريين إلى 60 بالمئة للشركات المملوكة للدولة أو التي تساهم فيها، والجهات الأخرى الخاضعة لقانون التقاعد والمعاشات.

وأوضح السيد عبدالله مسلم الدوسري وكيل الوزارة المساعد لشؤون التنمية بوزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية، خلال اللقاء، أنه “لا تتم الموافقة في الوزارة على أي عقد عمل خارجي إلا بعد دراسة شاملة حول وجود مواطن له مميزات تؤهله للوظيفة في الشركات المملوكة للدولة أو التي تساهم فيها، والجهات الأخرى الخاضعة لقانون التقاعد والمعاشات”.

وأكد على أن الوزارة ستقوم بالمراجعة والتحقق من قيام الشركات المملوكة للدولة أو التي تساهم فيها، والجهات الأخرى الخاضعة لقانون التقاعد والمعاشات، بتطبيق وتحقيق النسبة المطلوبة في تقطير الوظائف.
