Doha: Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, paid an inspection visit to Salwa Beach Resort, during which he was briefed on the progress of the project, and his Highness urged to follow the work and speed up the completion as planned for its delivery on time, as the resort is expected to open at the end of this year, and The Salwa Resort will have an important role to play in the reception of the fans of the World Cup to be held in Qatar 2022.
Katara Hospitality has announced that The Salwa Beach Resort will start receiving bookings soon. According to its official Twitter account, the company said that due to the partial opening and the number of villas that will be available then, only one villa will be allocated to each family until the resort is fully operational. Opening dates and booking information will be announced soon, it added.
Salwa Resort is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Middle East due to the beauty of its green landscape, the diversity of its activities and its strategic location, extending on the south-west coast of Qatar with an area of 3,200.00 m, and also overlooking the west bay.
The resort is one of the largest entertainment destinations, with residential units consisting of a large number of rooms and chalets, a five-star hotel with 246 rooms, a water park, a children’s maze with a safe and innovative design, a conference hall, several dive sites and shopping centres, as well as a yacht club.
It also has a business centre, meeting rooms and event halls, which are divided into three halls: Shatha, Salwa and Zela. It features a sports academy that includes football, basketball, tennis, a medical centre, a swimming pool and fitness centres for men and women.
It is worth mentioning that Qatar is working to strengthen the tourism sector in line with Vision 2030, which includes diversifying national income sources, reducing dependence on oil resources and upgrading Qatar’s tourism sector to be one of the world’s leading tourist destinations.

الدوحة: قام الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير دولة قطر بزيارة تفقدية لمنتجع شاطئ سلوى؛ اطلع خلالها على تطورات مراحل سير المشروع، وقد حث صاحب السمو القائمين على المشروع على متابعة العمل والإسراع بالإنجاز وفق الخطة المرسومة لتسليمه في الوقت المحدد، حيث أنه من المتوقع أن يتم افتتاح المنتجع في نهاية العام الجاري؛ وسيكون لمنتجع سلوى دور هام في استقبال جماهير كأس العالم الذي سيقام في قطر 2022م.
وكانت شركة ”كتارا للضيافة“ قد أعلنت عن أن منتجع شاطئ سلوى سوف يبدأ باستقبال الحجوزات قريبا.
وقالت الشركة – وفق حسابها الرسمي على موقع تويتر – إنه نظراً للافتتاح الجزئي وعدد الفلل التي ستكون متاحة حينها، سوف يخصص فيلا واحدة فقط لكل عائلة حتى يتم تشغيل المنتجع بالكامل.
وأضافت أنه سيتم الإعلان عن مواعيد الافتتاح ومعلومات الحجز قريبًا.
ويعتبر منتجع سلوى من أهم الوجهات السياحية في الشرق الأوسط وذلك لجمال مناظره الخلابة الخضراء وتنوع نشاطاته وموقعه الاستراتيجي، حيث يمتد على الساحل الجنوب الغربي لدولة قطر بمساحة 3.200.00 م، ويطل أيضاً على الخليج الغربي.
ويعد المنتجع من أكبر الوجهات الترفيهية، حيث يضم وحدات سكنية مكونة من عددٍ كبيرٍ من الغرف والشاليهات، وفندق خمس نجوم يحتوي على 246 غرفة ومدينة ألعاب مائية ومتاهة للأطفال ذات تصميم فني آمن ومبتكر، وقاعةً للمؤتمرات وعدة مواقع للغوص ومراكزاً للتسوق، هذا إضافةً إلى نادي اليخوت.
ويحتوي أيضاً على مركز للأعمال وغرف للاجتماعات وقاعات للمناسبات التي تنقسم إلى ثلاث قاعات وهي: شذى وسلوى وزيلا. ويضم اكاديمية رياضية تشمل كرة القدم والسلة والتنس ومركزاً طبياً وحمام سباحة ومراكز لياقة للرجال والنساء.
ومن الجدير بالذكر أن دولة قطر تعمل على تعزيز القطاع السياحي بما يتوافق مع رؤية 2030 التي تشمل تنويع مصادر الدخل القومي وتقليص الاعتماد على الموارد النفطية والارتقاء بالقطاع السياحي في قطر لتكون إحدى أهم الوجهات السياحية العالمية.
