Doha: The current Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in Japan is the most successful participation in Qatar’s history, and Qatar is the best Arab and Gulf country in this edition after winning two gold medals thanks to the Golden Falcon Mutaz Barshim and the exceptional weightlifter Fares Ibrahim.
Qatar has succeeded in topping the Arab general standings in the tournament so far with two gold medals, the first gold medal achieved in the weightlifting competitions and won by the weightlifter Fares Ibrahim, and the second gold medal was in the high jump and was achieved by Mutaz Issa Barshim, then Tunisia comes in second place after its champions won gold and silver, the gold medal was achieved by swimmer Ahmed Hafnawi, the silver medal was achieved by taekwondo player Ahmed Jandubi, and then Morocco, which won a gold medal at the hands of jogger Sofian Bakkali, then Jordan, who won a silver medal by Taekwondo player Saleh Al-Sharbati, then Egypt in fifth place with two bronzes, one crowned by taekwondo player Hidaya Malak, another bronze won by taekwondo player Saif Issa, and then Kuwait with one bronze awarded by the archer Abdullah al-Rashidi.

الدوحة: تعد دورة الألعاب الأولمبية الحالية في اليابان “طوكيو 2020″، الأنجح في تاريخ المشاركات القطرية على الإطلاق، كما تعتبر قطر الأفضل عربياً وخليجياً خلال هذه النسخة بعد الحصول على ميداليتين ذهبيتين بفضل الصقر الذهبي معتز برشم، والرباع الاستثنائي فارس إبراهيم.
لقد نجحت قطر في اعتلاء صدارة الترتيب العام العربي في الدورة حتى الآن برصيد ميداليتين ذهبيتين، الميدالية الذهبية الأولى تحققت في منافسات رفع الأثقال وحصل عليها الرباع فارس إبراهيم، والميدالية الذهبية الثانية كانت في الوثب العالي وتوج بها معتز عيسى برشم، ثم تأتي تونس في المركز الثاني بعد أن حصد أبطالها ذهبية وفضية، الميدالية الذهبية أحرزها السباح أحمد حفناوي، والميدالية الفضية فاز بها لاعب التايكوندو أحمد الجندوبي، ثم المغرب التي حصدت ميدالية ذهبية وفاز بها العداء سفيان البقالي، ثم الأردن التي حصلت على ميدالية فضية حصدها لاعب التايكوندو صالح الشرباتي، ثم مصر في المركز الخامس برصيد برونزيتين، واحدة توجت بها لاعبة التايكوندو هداية ملاك، وبرونزية أخرى أحرزها لاعب التايكوندو سيف عيسى، ثم الكويت برصيد برونزية واحدة نالها الرامي عبدالله الرشيدي.
