Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, and the Racing and Equestrian Club, organized yesterday’s evening in conjunction with the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival, which is held under the kind patronage of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the country, a horse auction “The purebred Arabian horse” in the presence of a large number of equestrian fans, owners and breeders of purebred Arabian horses from inside and outside Qatar.

The auction witnessed strict precautionary measures in conformity with the safety standards followed in the country to prevent the spread of coronavirus, as it had three entrance gates in addition to social distancing and adherence to masks, and auction’s information and the participating horses were provided through a booklet that is browsed through a barcode present with each seat for the audience.

The auction was held on 11 long line horses, six of them were sold, and the horses that participated in the auction were: Shahba Umm Al-Izzaam, Ghazi Al Nasser, Jaal AlJassmiya, Ammar Al-Nasser, a female baby, Wafi Al-Jazeel, Jawad Al-Shahania, Gharashoubat Al-Hazaa, Raban Al-Khor, Bahir Al Shaqab and Aziz Al Hazm. The highest bidding price reached 200,000 Qatari riyals for the horse “Ghazi Al Nasser”.

Mr. Badr Muhammed Al-Darwish, Director of the Tournament and Secretary General of the Asian Equestrian Federation, praised the professional organizational level of the horse auction, which witnessed the participation of one of the most qualitative, distinctive and prominent purebred Arabian horse breeds, indicating that the beginning of the festival came with a strong auction, which witnessed great success amid great eagerness by the horse owners to be present, as a number of horses representing the oldest farms and stalls were displayed in Qatar.

Al-Darwish added, in a statement, that the festival is one of the largest international festivals specialized in horse beauty, and is witnessing a large presence of the best and most prestigious international horses. He thanked all partners in organizing the festival, especially the sponsoring companies, stressing that the festival witnessed for itself for success before its official launch. He also Thanked the great cooperation between the constituents of the organizing committee, especially the Cultural Village (Katara), which made use of all its experiences and capabilities to organize a distinguished festival in its first edition, and wished success to all the owners participating in the festival.

The auction was held according to a set of conditions and mechanisms, including that the participating horses were registered and certified to participate in the Title Show 2021 Qatar International Arabian Horse Beauty Competition.

It is noteworthy that the vision of the auction is based on the State of Qatar becoming a global center for the most long line, authentic and highest quality Arabian horse auctions, and enhancing the culture of interest in auctions to participate in the Arabian Horse Beauty Competition organized locally and internationally. The auction also aims to provide an opportunity for interested owners, breeders and Purebred Arabian horse lovers, to acquire the best horses, especially since the horses offered in the auction are of the highest quality and have previously won international and regional championships.

During the auction, those interested will be able to own the best purebred Arabian horse breeds in the world, before participating in the Qatar International Championship for Purebred Arabian Horses. The auction also gives horse owners the opportunity to offer them for sale, thus meeting the desire of those wishing to buy to strengthen their stalls and farms with distinctive types of horses through the acquisition of horses for competition. In horse beauty championships or to support their own production of the purebred Arabian breed. These goals are part of the State of Qatar’s endeavor to preserve the purebred Arabian horses, support their production and take care of their breed.

الدوحة: نظمت المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي /كتارا/ ونادي السباق والفروسية/، مساء الأمس، وبالتزامن مع مهرجان كتارا الدولي للخيل العربية الذي يقام تحت الرعاية الكريمة لحضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، مزادا للخيل العربية الأصيلة وسط حضور كبير من محبي رياضة الفروسية وملاك ومربي الخيول العربية الأصيلة من داخل قطر وخارجها.

وشهد المزاد إجراءات احترازية مشددة مطابقة لمعايير السلامة المتبعة في الدولة للوقاية من فيروس “كورونا، حيث تمّ الدخول ضمن ثلاث بوابات بالإضافة الى مسافة التباعد الاجتماعي والالتزام بالكمامة، كما تم توفير المعلومات الخاصة بالمزاد والخيل المشاركة من خلال كتيب يتم تصفحه من خلال باركود موجود مع كل مقعد للجمهور.

وتم المزاد العلني على 11 رأسا من الخيل ذات السلالات العريقة بيع منهم ستة، والخيل التي شاركت في المزاد هي: شهباء أم العظام، وغازي الناصر، وجال الجاسمية، وعمار الناصر، وطفلة، و وافي الجزيل، وجواد الشحانية، وغرشوبة الهزاع، وربان الخور، وباهر الشقب، وعزيز الحزم.. وقد بلغ أعلى سعر بيع 200 ألف ريال قطري للجواد “غازي الناصر”.

وأشاد السيد بدر محمد الدرويش مدير البطولة وأمين السر العام للاتحاد الاسيوي للفروسية، بالمستوى التنظيمي المحترف لمزاد الخيل الذي شهد مشاركة نوعية ومميزة من أبرز سلالات الخيل العربية الأصيلة، مشيرا الى أن بداية المهرجان جاءت قوية بالمزاد الذي شهد نجاحا كبيرا وسط حرص كبير من قبل ملاك الخيل على التواجد فيه حيث تم عرض عدد من رؤوس الخيل تمثل أعرق المزارع والمرابط في قطر.

وأضاف الدرويش، في تصريح له، أن المهرجان يعد من أكبر المهرجانات الدولية المختصة بجمال الخيل، ويشهد تواجدا كبيرا من أفضل وأعرق الخيل العالمية.. وتقدم بالشكر الى جميع الشركاء في تنظيم المهرجان خاصة الشركات الراعية ، مؤكدا أن المهرجان كتب لنفسه شاهدة نجاح قبل انطلاقته الرسمية بفضل التعاون الكبير بين الجهات المكونة للجنة المنظمة، وفي مقدمتها الحي الثقافي /كتارا/ الذي سخر كل خبراته وامكانياته من أجل تنظيم مميز للمهرجان في نسخته الأولى، وتمنى التوفيق لكل الملاك المشاركين في المهرجان.

وأقيم المزاد وفق مجموعة من الشروط والآليات منها أن تكون الخيل المشاركة مسجلة ومعتمدة للمشاركة في بطولة /تايتل شو/ لسنة 2021 قطر الدولية لجمال الخيل العربية الأصيلة الثلاثين.

يذكر أن رؤية المزاد ترتكز على أن تصبح دولة قطر مركزاً عالميا لمزادات الخيل العربية الأعرق أصالة والأعلى جودة، وتعزيز ثقافة الاهتمام بالمزادات للمشاركة في بطولات جمال الخيل العربية الأصيلة التي تنظم محلياً ودولياً.. كما يهدف المزاد لإتاحة الفرصة أمام المهتمين من الملاك والمربين وعشاق الخيل العربية الأصيلة، لاقتناء أفضل الخيل خصوصاً أن الخيل المعروضة في المزاد تكون من أجود الأنواع وسبق لها أن فازت في بطولات دولية وإقليمية.
