Qatar Museums Prepare to Open ‘Picasso Studios’

The virtual exhibition “Picasso Studios” attracts visitors and audiences from around the world to the creative spaces of Pablo Picasso, from his arrival in Paris around 1900 as a young artist to his last residence in the south of France until his death in 1973.
Organized in partnership with the Picasso National Museum in Paris, the exhibition houses on-site collections from this museum, including 100 exceptional works, a variety of paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and ceramics.
The exhibition is scheduled to officially open in July, as Qatar’s museums and heritage sites reopen to the public on July 1st, on the recommendations of the Office of Health Protection and Transitional Disease Control at the Ministry of Public Health.
Throughout a busy creative career, Picasso has worked on several studios that have resonated with his remarkable imprints on the development of the most prominent artistic currents in the world of modern art, and this exhibition comes from those works that the 20th-century genius kept in his art collection and never wished to leave, where Picasso dedicated himself to producing works that contributed significantly to the development of modern art in the 20th century, and founded the cubist school with George Brac.
In cubist paintings, the elements are disassembled into pieces and re-assembled in the form of an extract from overlapping geometric shapes, and photographed from multiple angles within a single configuration in order to achieve an integrated physical construction with collage-like effect, which was a shock in the art world with a exhilarating creative stroke that fascinated the art world, Picasso’s paintings in the early days of his cubist experiment were called “analytical cubing”, and contained works such as “Three Women 1907, A Dish of Bread and Fruit on the Table 1909, The Mandolin Girl 1910”.

يتوصل المعرض الافتراضي “استوديوهات بيكاسو”، في جذب زواره وجمهوره من مختلف العالم على الفضاءات الإبداعية التي تنقّل بينها بابلو بيكاسو بدءاً من وصوله إلى باريس حوالي عام 1900 كفنان شاب وانتهاءً بمقر إقامته الأخير في جنوب فرنسا حتى وفاته عام 1973م.
حيث يحتضن المعرض – الذي ينظمه مطافئ مقر الفنانين في إطار شراكة مع متحف بيكاسو الوطني في باريس – مقتنيات معارة من هذا المتحف تشمل (100) عمل استثنائي، متنوعة من لوحات ومنحوتات ورسومات وأعمال مطبوعة وأخرى خزفية.
ومن المقرر أن يتم افتتاح المعرض رسميًا في يوليو المقبل، ضمن إعادة فتح متاحف قطر لعدد من متاحفها ومواقعها التراثية للجمهور في 1 يوليو المقبل، بناء على توصيات من مكتب حماية الصحة ومكافحة الأمراض الانتقالية بوزارة الصحة العامة.
وقد شَغَل بيكاسو على امتداد مسيرة إبداعية حافلة، عدة استوديوهات كان لها صدى كبير في ما تركه من بصمات واضحة على مستوى تطوّر التيارات الفنية البارزة في عالَم الفن الحديث، ويأتي هذا المعرض لتلك الأعمال التي احتفظ بها عبقري القرن العشرين في مُحترفاته الفنية والتي لم يرغب بأن تفارقه أبداً، حيث كرس بيكاسو نفسه لإنتاج أعمالٍ فنية ساهمت بشكلٍ كبير في تطور الفن الحديث في القرن العشرين، وأسس المدرسة التكعيبية مع جورج براك.
ففي اللوحات التكعيبية يتم تفكيك العناصر إلى أجزاء وإعادة تركيبها من جديد على شكل مستخلص من أشكال هندسية متراكبة، وتصويرها من وجهاتٍ متعددة ضمن تكوين واحد من أجل تحقيق بناء فيزيائي متكامل له تأثير يشبه الكولاج، مما كانت هذه التجربة الفنية صدمة في عالم الفن بضربة إبداعية مبهجة وفتنت عالم الفن، وكانت لوحات بيكاسو في بدايات تجربته التكعيبية تسمى “التكعيب التحليلي” وكانت تحوي عدة أعمال مثل “ثلاث نساء 1907، صحن خبز وفواكه على الطاولة 1909، فتاة ماندولين 1910”.
