Apple to Halt Sales of Some Apple Watches in US

Washington: Apple announced that it will soon stop sales of its Series 9 and Ultra 2 smartwatches in the United States from this week, as it deals with a patent dispute over the technology that enables the blood oxygen feature on the devices.
The move follows the International Trade Commission’s (ITC) ruling in the long-running patent dispute between iPhone maker and medical technology company Masimo over the technology that enables the blood oxygen feature on device.
Apple’s Series 9 and Ultra 2 smartwatches will not be available for order from Apples website after Dec. 21, while the smartwatches in retail stores will not be available for sale after Dec. 24.

واشنطن: أعلنت شركة /آبل/أنها ستوقف قريبا مبيعات نماذجها الرائدة من ساعتها الذكية في الولايات المتحدة، ولن تكون Apple Watch Series 9 و Apple Watch Ultra 2 متاحة للشراء بدءا من وقت لاحق من هذا الأسبوع.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة في أعقاب حكم لجنة التجارة الدولية في النزاع الطويل الأمد بخصوص براءات الاختراع بين الشركة المصنعة لهواتف آيفون وشركة التكنولوجيا الطبية Masimo بخصوص تقنية استشعار الأكسجين في الدم في الساعة الذكية.
ولن تكون Apple Watch Ultra 2 و Apple Watch Series 9 متاحة للطلب من موقع آبل الإلكتروني بعد يوم 21 من ديسمبر الجاري ، كما لن تكون الساعات الذكية الموجودة داخل متاجر البيع بالتجزئة متاحة للبيع بعد يوم 24 من الشهر ذاته.
