Al Ruwais customs thwarts smuggling of 13 pieces of hashish
جمارك الرويس تحبط تهريب 13 قطعة من الحشيش
DOHA: The General Authority of Customs, in cooperation with a security agency, seized narcotics belonging to passengers on a wooden boat coming from an Asian country by sea to Al Ruwais Port.
The details of the incident came when customs inspectors on suspicion on the passengers inspected and discovered that they were carrying the substance of cannabis drug hidden in a secret place at the boat.
On inquiry by the inspectors, a crew member of the boat reported that it was sea salt which later proved that this information was incorrect and it was a narcotic substance.
The seized material containing 13 pieces of hashish. A recording of the incident was made and passengers and seized material was sent to the concerned authorities.
Abdul Hadi Al Sahli, Director of the Maritime Customs Department at the Authority, praised the efficiency and experience of the customs officers. He pointed out that the Al Ruwais Port witnessed a number of major seizures during the past period, especially after it was adopted as an outlet for importing commercial goods since the siege was imposed.
It should be noted that the General Authority of Customs has recently developed systems of examination at a number of entry points and enhanced the capabilities of their staff to suspect and read the body language of passengers. It also conducted training courses at the highest levels for its officers and that will increase the number of seizures.
تمكنت الهيئة العامة للجمارك بالتعاون مع إحدى الجهات الأمنية من ضبط مواد مخدرة بحوزة مسافرين على مركب خشبي (لنج) قادمة من دولة اسيوية عن طريق البحر إلى ميناء الرويس .
وتأتي تفاصيل الواقعة في اشتباه مفتشي جمرك ميناء الرويس بإدارة الجمارك البحرية في المسافرين القادمين على المركب الخشبي ، والذي تبين عند تفتيشه وجود مادة الحشيش المخدرة مخبأة في مخزن سري بمقدمة المركب ، وعند توجيه السؤال لأحد طاقم المركب عن هذه المادة أفاد بأنها (ملح بحر) ، والذي ثبت بعد ذلك عدم صحة هذه المعلومات والتأكد من أنها مواد مخدرة .
وجاءت المادة المضبوطة على شكل لفافة ، تحتوي بداخلها على عدد 13 قطعة من مادة الحشيش ، وقد تم عمل محضر بالواقعة وتسليم المسافرين والمضبوطات للجهات المعنية .
وأثنى السيد عبدالهادي السهلي مدير إدارة الجمارك البحرية بالهيئة على ما يتمتع به رجال الجمارك من كفاءة وخبرة موضحاً ان ميناء الرويس قد شهد الفترة الماضية عدة ضبطيات كبيرة وخصوصاً بعد اعتماده كمنفذ لإدخال البضائع التجارية منذ بدء الحصار على الدولة ، وأكد على أنه بمجرد إتمام عملية ضبط يتم على الفور اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية واستدعاء الجهة الأمنية المسئولة عن استلام هذه الضبطية .
الجدير بالذكر أن الهيئة العامة للجمارك قامت خلال الفترة الأخيرة بتطوير انظمة الفحص في عدد من منافذها ، وتعزيز قدرات موظفيها على الاشتباه وقراءة لغة الجسد وغيرها من المهارات الأمنية ، وذلك من خلال ادراجهم في دورات تدريبية على أعلى المستويات ، وكان ذلك من شأنه زيادة عدد الضبطيات والتي تنوعت في طرق الاخفاء وكان مفتشو الجمارك لها بالمرصاد.
