Amir leaves Washington ending four-day US visit

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani left Washington DC, after a four-day official visit to the United States.

The Amir sent a cable to US President Donald Trump, expressing deep thanks and appreciation for the hospitality and honour accorded to him and the accompanying delegation during the visit.

His Highness the Amir also expressed satisfaction with his talks with the US President and senior officials, which provided an opportunity for exchanging views on the most important regional and international issues of common concern and also contributed to the consolidation of bilateral relations and the strategic partnership between the two countries in various fields for the benefit of the two friendly peoples.

“Today we concluded our visit to the US, which marked an important milestone of the #QatarUSA partnership. It was a pleasure and an honor to meet all our friends in DC,” said His Highness the Amir in a tweet Friday morning.

وبعث حضرة صاحب السمو أمير البلاد المفدى ببرقية إلى فخامة الرئيس دونالد ترمب رئيس الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية الصديقة، أعرب فيها سموه عن بالغ شكره وتقديره لما قوبل به والوفد المرافق من حفاوة وحسن استقبال، معربا عن سعادته بمباحثاته مع فخامته وكبار المسؤولين، والتي أتاحت فرصة تبادل وجهات النظر حول أهم القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، كما ساهمت في توطيد العلاقات الثنائية والشراكة الاستراتيجية القائمة بين البلدين في مختلف المجالات، لما فيه خير ومصلحة الشعبين الصديقين.
