WHO Mission Arrives at Wuhan Institute of Virology

Beijing: Experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) arrived, Wednesday, at the Wuhan Institute of Virology on a visit as part of an investigation they are conducting to determine the origin of the Coronavirus in this city in central China.
This Institute contains many laboratories surrounded by tight security measures, in which researchers conduct tests on viruses of the Coronavirus strain.
The former US President Donald Trump accused this Institute of being the source of the Coronavirus, stressing that China caused the spread of the virus, either intentionally or by mistake, and plunged the world into the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Chinese authorities have surrounded the WHO experts’ tour with secrecy and security restrictions, as they visited a number of hospitals and a food market in Wuhan where live wild animals were sold, and the guards only allowed the cars of the WHO investigators to enter.
China seeks to avoid taking responsibility for the outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
It should be noted that the specialized team from the (WHO) had visited two disease control centers two days ago in Wuhan and Hubei, where the emerging coronavirus first appeared in December 2019.

بكين: وصل خبراء من منظمة الصحة العالمية، صباح الأمس ، إلى معهد /ووهان/ لعلوم الفيروسات، في زيارة تندرج في إطار التحقيق الذي يجرونه لتحديد منشأ فيروس كورونا “كوفيد-19”.
ويحتوي هذا المعهد على مختبرات عديدة محاطة بإجراءات أمنية مشددة، ويجري فيها الباحثون اختبارات على فيروسات من سلالة كورونا.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي السابق، دونالد ترامب، اتهم هذا المعهد بأنه مصدر فيروس كورونا.. مؤكداً أن الصين تسببت بانتشار الفيروس، إما عمداً أو خطأً، وأغرقت العالم في جائحة كوفيد-19.
وتحيط السلطات الصينية جولة خبراء منظمة الصحة بالسرية وتشديدات أمنية، حيث زاروا عددا من المستشفيات وسوقا للمأكولات في /ووهان/ كانت تباع فيه حيوانات برية حية، ولم يسمح الحراس بالدخول إلا لسيارات فريق محققي منظمة الصحة.
وتسعى الصين إلى تجنب تحمل مسؤولية تفشي فيروس كورونا، أو أنها لم تستجب بشكل سريع للحالات الأولى التي ظهرت في ووهان وهوبي.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن الفريق المتخصص من منظمة الصحة العالمية، كان قد زار قبل يومين، مركزين لمكافحة الأمراض في ووهان وهوبي، حيث ظهر فيروس كورونا المستجد لأول مرة في ديسمبر 2019.
