Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani inaugurated yesterday FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, at Al Bayt Stadium.
HH the Amir announced the inauguration of the tournament, saying “In the name of God and with God’s Blessings, I declare the opening of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, wishing all national teams well. All Arabs are welcome to the Doha of all Arabs.”
The opening ceremony was attended by HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, HH Personal Representative of HH the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, and HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, along with a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs and ministers.
The inauguration was also attended by HE President of the Lebanese Republic General Michel Aoun, HE President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, HE President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullah Farmajo, HE President of the Republic of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh, HE President of the Presidential Council of the State of Libya Dr. Mohamed El Manfi, and HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, HE Vice President of the Republic of Yemen Lieutenant-General Ali Mohsen Al Ahmar, HRH Governor of Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HE Aide to the President of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, HH Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Sultanate of Oman Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, HE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, and HE Minister of Youth and Sports of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, and HE Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey Republic Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoglu.
The opening was also attended by HE FIFA President Gianni Infantino, HE Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al Hajraf , heads of Olympic committees and federations in Arab countries, Their Excellencies heads of diplomatic missions accredited by the state, senior officials in the field of sports, and the public.
The proceedings of the opening ceremony began with a visual presentation of artistic paintings, musical pieces from Arab national anthems, and a tribute to a group of immigrant Arab minds who contributed to the renaissance of the world.
After that, His Highness watched the opening match between the Qatari national football team and the Kingdom of Bahrain, which ended in the Qatari team’s victory 1-0.

الدوحة: تفضل حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، بافتتاح بطولة كأس العرب FIFA قطر 2021، في استاد البيت مساء الأمس.
وأعلن سموه افتتاح البطولة قائلا “بسم الله وعلى بركة الله أعلن افتتاح بطولة كأس العرب FIFA قطر 2021،، متمنيًا لجميع المنتخبات التوفيق. وأهلًا بجميع العرب في دوحة العرب”.
حضر الافتتاح صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني وصاحبة السمو الشيخة موزا بنت ناصر وسمو الشيخ جاسم بن حمد آل ثاني الممثل الشخصي للأمير، وسمو الشيخ عبدالله بن خليفة آل ثاني، وسمو الشيخ محمد بن خليفة آل ثاني، وسعادة الشيخ جاسم بن خليفة آل ثاني، ومعالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، وسعادة السيد حسن بن عبدالله الغانم، رئيس مجلس الشورى، وعدد من أصحاب السعادة الشيوخ والوزراء.
كما حضر الافتتاح فخامة الرئيس العماد ميشال عون رئيس الجمهورية اللبنانية، وفخامة الرئيس محمود عباس رئيس دولة فلسطين، وفخامة الرئيس محمد عبدالله فرماجو رئيس جمهورية الصومال الفيدرالية، وفخامة الرئيس إسماعيل عمر جيله رئيس جمهورية جيبوتي، وسعادة الدكتور محمد المنفي رئيس المجلس الرئاسي بدولة ليبيا، وصاحب السمو الملكي الأمير الحسين بن عبدالله الثاني ولي عهد المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، وسعادة الفريق أول ركن علي محسن الأحمر نائب رئيس الجمهورية اليمنية، وصاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود أمير المنطقة الشرقية بالمملكة العربية السعودية، وسعادة السيد ايغور ليفيتين مساعد رئيس روسيا الاتحادية، ومعالي الشيخ حمد الجابر العلي الصباح نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الدفاع بدولة الكويت، وصاحب السمو السيد ذي يزن بن هيثم آل سعيد وزير الثقافة والرياضة والشباب بسلطنة عمان، ومعالي الشيخ نهيان بن مبارك آل نهيان، وزير التسامح والتعايش بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وسعادة الدكتور أشرف صبحي وزير الشباب والرياضة بجمهورية مصر العربية، وسعادة السيد محمد محرم قصاب أوغلو وزير الشباب والرياضة بالجمهورية التركية.
وحضر الافتتاح أيضا سعادة السيد جياني إنفانتينو رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم FIFA، ومعالي الدكتور نايف فلاح الحجرف الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، ورؤساء اللجان الأولمبية والاتحادات بالدول العربية الشقيقة، وأصحاب السعادة رؤساء البعثات الدبلوماسية المعتمدون لدى الدولة وكبار المسؤولين في المجال الرياضي، وجمهور غفير.
وكانت وقائع حفل الافتتاح قد بدأت بعرض مرئي للوحات استعراضية فنية وتراثية، ومقطوعات موسيقية من الأناشيد الوطنية العربية ، وتكريم لمجموعة من العقول العربية المهاجرة التي ساهمت وتساهم في نهضة العالم.
عقب ذلك تابع سموه المباراة الافتتاحية بين منتخبنا الوطني لكرة القدم ومنتخب مملكة البحرين والتي انتهت بفوز منتخبنا بنتيجة 1 / صفر.
