New York governor thanks Qatar for helping send critical supplies and aid

The Peninsula Online – Doha:

Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, thanked Qatar for helping send critical supplies and aid.

In a tweet on his official account Cuomo said “Thank you to the government and people of Qatar from the people of New York. We are grateful for your assistance in helping send critical supplies and for the donation of aid.”

Qatar supports international efforts i9n many ways as it sent aid to 20 countries so far, including medical supplies. Qatari air force is building field hospitals in friendly countries, including contributing to the work of multilateral health care institutions that are working to develop vaccines or that work to ensure the resilience of health care in other countries and Qatar has already made a contribution of $140m to these organizations.

Qatar Airways has also been helping countries by flying in critical medical supplies in their cargo aircraft and also repatriating people to their home countries.

الدوحة: توجه حاكم نيويورك (أندرو كومو) بالشكر لدولة قطر للمساعدة بإرسال امدادات حيوية ومعونات. 

قال (كومو) في تغريدة نشرها على حسابه الرسمي “يتوجه شعب نيويورك بالشكر لقطر حكومةً وشعباً. نحن ممتنون للمساعدة التي قمتم بتقديمها بإرسال امدادات حيوية والتبرع بالمعونات.” 

تقوم دولة قطر بدعم المجهودات الدولية بطرق عدة حيث قامت بإرسال مساعدات لعشرين دولة حتى الآن، بما فيها المساعدات الطبية. تقوم القوات الجوية القطرية ببناء مستشفيات ميدانية في الدول الصديقة، بما في ذلك المساهمة في عمل مؤسسات الرعاية الصحية متعددة الأطراف التي تعمل لإيجاد لقاحات أو التي تعمل من أجل ضمان صمود نظام الرعاية الصحية في دول أخرى وقد ساهمت قطر بمبلغ 140 مليون دولار تم تقديمها لتلك المنظمات. 

تقوم الخطوط الجوية القطرية بمساعدة الدول أيضاً من خلال حمل الإمدادات الطبية الضرورية على متن رحلاتها وإعادة الناس إلى بلادهم أيضاً.
