Hamad International Airport is the third-best airport in the world

Hamad International Airport was ranked third in the world’s 550 best airports, according to the results of the 2020 Skytrax World Airport Awards, making progress from last year when it ranked fourth as the world’s best airport, continuing its ascent to the world’s best airports since its launch in 2014.

The airport has been successful in many other reviews of its international services such as: Transit Airport (ranked 3rd), Passport Management (10th place), baggage delivery (10th place), airport building cleanliness (5th place) and amenities and entertainment (7th place). Hamad International Airport also ranked first among the world’s airports, serving between 30 million and 40 million passengers annually.

In addition, Hamad International Airport won the “Best Airport in the Middle East” award for the sixth consecutive year and the “Best Employee Service in the Middle East” award for the fifth consecutive year. The airport has also managed to maintain its five-star rating since 2017. . These results and rankings reflect the hard work of airport staff and have contributed to making it “the fastest growing airport in the world”. Hamad International Airport recorded a record growth in passenger numbers in 2019, serving 3,878,642 passengers, the highest number since operations began in 2014.

حاز مطار حمد الدولي على المركز الثالث ضمن قائمة أفضل المطارات في العالم والتي ضمَّت 550 مطاراً، وذلك بحسب نتائج جوائز سكاي تراكس العالمية للمطارات 2020، محققاً تقدماً عن العام الماضي حينما حلَّ رابعاً كأفضل مطار في العالم، ومواصلاً مسيرة صعوده ضمن قائمة أفضل مطارات العالم منذ بدء عملياته التشغيلية في عام 2014.

هذا وقد أحرز المطار نجاحاً في العديد من التقييمات الأخرى للخدمات العالمية التي يقدمها مثل: مطار العبور (حيث حلَّ في المركز الثالث)، وإدارة الجوازات (المركز العاشر)، وتسليم الأمتعة (المركز العاشر)، ونظافة مبنى المطار (المركز الخامس)، ووسائل الراحة والترفيه (المركز السابع). وحصد مطار حمد الدولي أيضاً المركز الأول باعتباره الأفضل بين مطارات العالم التي تقدم خدماتها لما بين 30 إلى 40 مليون مسافر سنوياً.

وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، فاز مطار حمد الدولي بجائزة “أفضل مطار في الشرق الأوسط” للعام السادس على التوالي وجائزة “أفضل خدمة للموظفين في الشرق الأوسط” للعام الخامس على التوالي. ونجح المطار أيضاً في الاحتفاظ بتصنيف الخمس نجوم الذي حصل عليه منذ عام 2017. . وتعكس هذه النتائج والتصنيفات مدى العمل الجاد الذي يقوم به موظفو المطار وساهم في جعله “أسرع مطار نمواً في العالم”. وكان مطار حمد الدولي قد سجل نمواً قياسياً في عدد مسافريه خلال عام 2019 حيث قدم خدماته لـ 38786422 مسافراً، وهو العدد الأكبر له منذ بدء عملياته التشغيلية في عام 2014
