Amiri Air Force begins transporting medical equipment from China

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced today, the arrival of the first shipments of masks and medical sterilizers with the support of the transport group of the Amiri Air Force. 

The ministry said that “these medical shipments come within the framework of national efforts aimed at enhancing the flow of imports of medical masks and sterilizers to the local markets in the country, in order to provide and meet all the needs of the local market.” 

The Ministry confirmed that it will supervise the distribution of these shipments of medical masks and sterilizers in the local markets to all outlets through a mechanism that guarantees their access to all consumers. 

The Ministry of Trade and Industry had previously taken a decision to set the maximum prices and profit rates for the sale of medical face masks, and to determine the maximum prices for the sale of sterilizers and disinfectants in the country’s markets. 

Ministry explained that the decision comes in implementation of preventive measures in order to preserve the health and safety of citizens and residents, reduce the spread of the Corona virus (Covid 19), combat the unjustified rise in the prices of selling medical face masks, sterilization products, antiseptics, deter monopolistic practices and commercial fraud and ensure the consumer’s right to obtain these products at affordable prices.

أعلنت وزارة التجارة والصناعة اليوم، عن وصول أولى الشحنات من الكمامات والمعقمات الطبية بدعم وإسناد من مجموعة النقل لسلاح الجو الأميري.

وقالت الوزارة ، إن هذه الشحنات الطبية تأتي في إطار الجهود الوطنية الرامية إلى تعزيز انسيابية تدفق واردات الكمامات والمعقمات الطبية إلى الأسواق المحلية في الدولة، بهدف توفير وتلبية كافة احتياجات السوق المحلية.

وأكدت الوزارة أنها ستشرف على توزيع هذه الشحنات من الكمامات والمعقمات الطبية في الأسواق المحلية على كافة المنافذ من خلال آلية تضمن وصولها إلى جميع المستهلكين.

وكانت وزارة التجارة والصناعة قد اتخذت في وقت سابق قرارا بتعيين الحد الأقصى لأسعار ونسب أرباح بيع كمامات الوجه الطبية، وتحديد الحد الأقصى لأسعار بيع المعقمات والمطهرات في أسواق الدولة.

وأوضحت أن القرار يأتي تنفيذاً للتدابير الوقائية حفاظا على صحة المواطنين والمقيمين وسلامتهم والحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا /كوفيد 19/ ومكافحة الارتفاع غير المبرر في أسعار بيع كمامات الوجه الطبية ومنتجات التعقيم والمطهرات وردع الممارسات الاحتكارية والغش التجاري وضمان حق المستهلك في الحصول على هذه المنتجات بأسعار مناسبة.
