Ooredoo installs Fever Screening Thermal Camera System at retail shop

In a move designed to further reinforce its complete commitment to protecting the health and safety of staff and customers, Ooredoo has announced the installation of a Fever Screening Thermal Camera System at its Al Sadd retail shop, in partnership with Huawei.

The camera screening system is capable of identifying individuals presenting with a body temperature of 37.3 degrees or greater, upon which an alarm will sound to notify staff. 

Such individuals will, in the interests of protecting the health and safety of those around them, not be permitted to enter the shop and will be advised to visit the nearest medical facility for evaluation. 

The system is also capable of identifying individuals attempting to enter the shop without a mask, in contravention of Ooredoo’s policy of asking its customers to wear masks when visiting its premises. 

Speaking of the installation, Sabah Rabia Al Kuwari, Director PR at Ooredoo, said: “The health and safety of all our staff and customers is of paramount importance to all of us at Ooredoo. We’re doing everything we can to minimise risk to our staff and our customers, in the interests of protecting our wider community, and balancing that with continuing to meet the needs of our customers.” 

“Being able to identify those possibly at risk of carrying the virus means we can not only better protect staff and customers at our shops, but we can also identify someone who may not know they could potentially be sick, enabling them to then seek immediate medical attention. 

“We remain committed to supporting Qatar in the ongoing fight against COVID-19, and we thank all our customers for their support and understanding,” he said. 

Ooredoo intends to roll out installation of the camera screening systems across the rest of its open retail shops and other Ooredoo premises as soon as possible.

أعلنت «ooredoo» أنها قامت بتركيب نظام كاميرات حرارية في مركزها بمنطقة السد، بالتعاون مع «هواوي»، وذلك في خطوة ترمي إلى تعزيز التزام الشركة بالحفاظ على صحة وسلامة موظفيها وعملائها.

ويمكن لنظام الكاميرات الحرارية التعرّف على الأشخاص الذين تبلغ درجة حرارتهم 37.3 درجة مئوية أو أكثر، وعند اكتشاف ذلك يصدر النظام إنذاراً صوتياً، يساعد موظفي المركز في التعرف على الشخص الذي يعاني من ارتفاع الحرارة، وفي هذه الحالة، وحفاظاً على حماية صحة وسلامة الموجودين في مركز البيع من موظفين وعملاء، لن يسمح للأشخاص الذين يعانون من ارتفاع الحرارة بدخول مركز «ooredoo» في منطقة السد، وسيتم تقديم النصيحة لهم بمراجعة أقرب مركز صحي للتحقق من حالتهم الصحية.

وإضافة إلى ذلك، فإن هذا النظام المتطور قادر على التعرّف على الأشخاص الذين يدخلون المركز دون ارتداء الأقنعة الواقية «الكمامات»، حيث تنص سياسة «ooredoo» على ضرورة ارتداء عملاء وموظفي الشركة للكمامات في مرافقها كافة.

وحول اعتماد هذا النظام، قال صباح ربيعة الكواري مدير إدارة العلاقات العامة في «ooredoo» قطر: «تمثل صحة وسلامة موظفينا وعملائنا أهمية قصوى بالنسبة لنا جميعاً في ooredoo، فنحن نحرص على اتخاذ جميع الإجراءات والتدابير الوقائية الممكنة، لتقليل المخاطر التي قد يتعرض لها موظفونا وعملائنا، وذلك سعياً إلى الحفاظ على سلامة مجتمعنا، ودعماً للجهود الحكومية في مكافحة انتشار فيروس «كوفيد – 19»، كما نرحّب دائماً بخدمة جميع عملائنا وتلبية احتياجاتهم، سواء من خلال قنواتنا الرقمية أم في عدد من مراكزنا، بما يتماشى مع معايير الصحة والسلامة العامة، وخصوصاً في هذه الأوقات الاستثنائية، ولا شك أن نظام الكاميرات الحرارية، إلى جانب كونه إجراء وقائياً مهماً، فإنه يساعد أيضاً في سرعة الكشف عن الأفراد الذين يعانون من الحرارة المرتفعة، دون أن يكونوا مدركين لاحتمالية إصابتهم بالفيروس، إذ يتم توجيههم على الفور لزيارة أقرب مركز صحي، وإجراء الفحوصات اللازمة، ونشكر جميع العملاء على تفهمهم وتحليهم بالوعي اللازم، لكي نتعاون جميعاً يداً بيد لمكافحة هذا الوباء».

هذا، وتعتزم «ooredoo» تركيب نظام الكاميرات الحرارية في باقي مراكز الشركة المتاحة لخدمة العملاء، ومرافق الشركة الأخرى في أقرب وقت.
