Ministry launches awareness drive to ensure commitment with payment of wages

الوزارة تطلق حملة توعية للتأكد من الالتزام بدفع الأجور

The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs has launched a campaign to raise awareness and provide guidance through field visits by inspectors of the Labour Inspection Department to all establishments in the country which will begin by inspecting establishments with the biggest number of workers. 

The campaign is within the context of completing the Ministry’s efforts to raise awareness of precautionary measures.

The campaign that kicks off next week will focus on awareness and guidance of precautionary measures to prevent the risk of infection with the coronavirus (COVID-19), ensure the availability of adequate housing requirements and commitment to payment of wages, raise awareness of the use of applications to send money online due to the closure of exchange shops, and introduce the rights and duties of the worker and the employer during this period to ensure their safety and protection and preserve the rights of all parties.

أعلنت وزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية عن إطلاق حملة (واعي)، الموسعة للتوعية والإرشاد من خلال زيارات ميدانية يقوم بها مفتشو إدارة تفتيش العمل لجميع المنشآت بالدولة والبدء بالمنشآت الأكثر عدداً للعمال وذلك في إطار استكمال جهود الوزارة بشأن التوعية بالإجراءات الاحترازية.

وسيتم خلال الحملة التي تبدأ الأسبوع المقبل التركيز على التوعية والإرشاد بالإجراءات الاحترازية للوقاية من خطر الإصابة بفيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19) والتأكد من توافر اشتراطات السكن اللائق والالتزام بدفع الأجور، والتوعية باستخدام التطبيقات الخاصة بالتحويلات المالية الإلكترونية نظراً لإغلاق محال الصرافة، وكذلك بالحقوق والواجبات للعامل وصاحب العمل خلال هذه الفترة لضمان سلامتهم وحمايتهم وحفظ حقوق جميع الأطراف
