Ministry increase precautionary measures at workplaces

Doha: The Ministry of Public Health has intensified precautionary and preventive measures in workplaces in regards to coronavirus (Covid-19).
The Ministry has issued instructions to employers and employees in several languages to maintain a safe working environment.
Dr Asmaa Al-Nuaimi, NHS National Lead for Healthy and Safe Employees, said that the guidelines specify for the employers what they must follow in order to prevent the spread of the virus inside the workplace, in addition to instructions for employees to act with caution and follow health and safety rules.
She clarified that the instructions are in line with the procedures and awareness campaigns that have been taken by the authorities in the country since the beginning of the virus outbreak, and came from the principle that safety is our common responsibility and by working together, we can take serious steps to prevent the transmission of the virus.
The guidelines include the responsibilities of employers, which encompasses identifying the symptoms of the virus, its transmission methods, and environmental cleaning of workplaces by installing hand sanitizers, disinfecting workplace and providing the required personal protection tools, in addition to measuring the temperature of employees using non-touch device, maintaining a safe distance, suspending the use of fingerprint scan, stop receiving visitors and canceling external meeting and using technological solutions.
The guidelines also include stopping the use of external companies to provide food and drink for workers and a recommendation to the Mental Health Service, by circulating to employees all facts related to coronavirus and work flexibility, as employers have to be flexible and enable individuals to work from home and abide by national directives that include guidelines and procedures that the employer must take in the event of an infection of one of the employees.
The Ministry also issued many important guidelines for employees to take precaution and follow health and safety rules, including introducing them to common symptoms of coronavirus, infection methods, personal hygiene advice to protect them, health habits they should follow, and the need to avoid travelling and attending social events, in addition to informing them on how to monitor and observe the infection and directing them to health centers if symptoms appear.

كثفت وزارة الصحة العامة الإجراءات الاحترازية والوقائية في أماكن العمل بشأن فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19).
وأصدرت الوزارة إرشادات لجهات العمل وللموظفين بعدة لغات بهدف الحفاظ على بيئة عمل آمنة.
وقالت الدكتورة أسماء النعيمي قائد أولوية “عاملون بصحة وأمان” في الإستراتيجية الوطنية للصحة إن الإرشادات تتضمن وتحدد لجهات العمل ما يتوجب عليها اتباعه من أجل منع انتشار الفيروس داخل مكان العمل، إضافة إلى إرشادات للموظفين من أجل التصرف بحذر واتباع قواعد الصحة والسلامة.
وأوضحت أن الإرشادات تتناسب مع الإجراءات وحملات التوعية التي تم اتخاذها من الجهات المختصة في الدولة منذ بداية ظهور الفيروس، وتأتي انطلاقا من مبدأ أن “السلامة مسؤوليتنا المشـتركة وبالعمــل معا، يمكننا اتخاذ خطوات جدية لمنع انتقال الفيروس”.
وتتضمن الإرشادات مسؤوليات جهات العمل والتي تشمل التعرف على أعراض الفيروس، وطرق انتقاله، والتنظيف البيئي لأماكن العمل من خلال تركيب أجهزة تعقيم اليدين و تطهير مكان العمل و توفير أدوات الحماية الشخصية المطلوبة، وقياس درجة حرارة الموظفين باستخدام جهاز لا يعمل باللمس والمحافظة على المسافة الآمنة، وتعليق استخدام أجهزة البصمة والتوقف عن استقبال الزوار وإلغاء الاجتماعات الخارجية والاستعانة بالحلول التكنولوجية.
كما تتضمن الإرشادات كذلك ايقاف الاستعانة بالشركات الخارجية لتقديم الطعام والشراب للعاملين مع التوصية بإدارة الصحة النفسية والضغط النفسي، وذلك عبر التعميم على الموظفين بكافة الحقائق المتعلقة بفيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19)، ومرونة العمل، حيث يتعين على جهات العمل التحلي بالمرونة وتمكين الأفراد من العمل من المنزل والالتزام بالتوجيهات الوطنية التي تتضمن الإرشادات والإجراءات التي يجب على صاحب العمل اتخاذها في حال إصابة أحد العاملين لديه.
كما أصدرت الوزارة كذلك العديد من الإرشادات الهامة الموجهة للموظفين من أجل أخذ الحيطة واتباع قواعد الصحة والسلامة ومنها تعريفهم بالأعراض الشائعة لفيروس كورونا (كوفيد 19) وطرق العدوى، والنصائح الخاصة بالنظافة الشخصية لحمايتهم، والعادات الصحية التي يجب عليهم إتباعهم، وضرورة تجنبهم للتنقل والسفر وحضور المناسبات الاجتماعية ، وتعريفهم بكيفية رصد الإصابة بالفيروس وملاحظته، وتوجيه العاملين إلى مراجعة المراكز الصحية حال ظهور أعراض مرضية عليهم و اخطار الجهات المعنية.
