Qatar slams withdrawal of Jerusalem identity
قطر تستنكر قانونا إسرائيليا يجيز سحب الهوية المقدسية من الفلسطينيين
Qatar strongly condemned the Israeli Knesset’s approval of a law authorising the interior minister to withdraw the Jerusalem identity from the Palestinians.
In a statement yesterday, the Foreign Ministry described the move as unethical and completely disregarding international law, international humanitarian law and UN conventions. The statement called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and stop the repeated Israeli violations of the rights of the Palestinian people, stressing that such violations would undermine international efforts to implement the two-state solution. It reiterated Qatar’s full support for the Palestinian people’s self-determination and restoration of all their legitimate rights, foremost of which is the establishment of an independent and sovereign state on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.
استنكرت دولة قطر بشدة مصادقة الكنيست الإسرائيلي على قانون يجيز لوزير الداخلية سحب الهوية المقدسية من الفلسطينيين.
ووصفت وزارة الخارجية في بيان اليوم، هذه الخطوة بأنها غير أخلاقية وتستخف تماما بالقانون الدولي والقانون الدولي الإنساني والاتفاقيات الأممية.
وطالب البيان المجتمع الدولي بتحمل مسؤولياته لوقف الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية المتكررة على حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني ، مؤكدا أن من شأن هذه الاعتداءات تقويض الجهود الدولية الرامية لتنفيذ حل الدولتين.
وجدد البيان دعم دولة قطر الكامل للشعب الفلسطيني من أجل تقرير مصيره واسترداد كافة حقوقه المشروعة وفي مقدمتها إقامة دولته المستقلة ذات السيادة على حدود عام 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشريف.
