The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs has educated 271,174 workers till now about coronavirus under its ‘conscious’ (Al Wai ) campaign.
The campaign, which run from April 5 to 22 aims at raising awareness about the precautionary and preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 for workers and employers at worksites and accommodations.
The campaign team made 4,151 field visits, during which 88,000 brochures were distributed in 6 different languages to workers in order to raise awareness. As much as 572,754 awareness messages were sent to employers via SMS.
The campaign was conducted at many areas throughout the municipalities. The number of field visits that took place in the northern part of the country, including Al Daayen Municipality, Al-Khor and Al-Thakhira Municipality, Umm Salal Municipality, and Al Shamal Municipality were 608 visits, benefiting 44,809 workers.
As many as 114,107 workers in Doha Municipality were educated through 1,912 visits made by the ;conscious’ campaign team.
The number of field visits in Al Wakra municipality reached 301, where 23,478 workers benefited from it.

اختتمت وزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية حملة “واعي” التي استمرت من ٥-٢٢ أبريل الجاري. وتأتي هذه الحملة بهدف التوعية بالإجراءات الاحترازية لفايروس كورونا للعمال وأصحاب والعمل.
شملت الحملة مواقع عمل وسكن العمال وقد استفاد من حملة واعي عدد 271174 عامل وقام فريق الحملة بزيارات ميدانية بلغ عددها 4151 زيارة، وتم خلالها توزيع 88000 وسيلة توعوية بعدد 6 لغات مختلفة على العمال بهدف التوعية. كما تم إرسال عدد 572754 رسالة توعوية لأصحاب العمل عبر الرسائل النصية SMS.
غطت حملة “واعي” مختلف مناطق الدولة والبلديات وقد بلغ عدد الزيارات الميدانية التي تمت في المناطق الشمالية والتي تشمل البلديات التالية: بلدية الظعاين ، بلدية الخور والذخيرة، بلدية أم صلال ، بلدية الشمال عدد 608 زيارة استفاد منها 44809 عامل. فيما تمت توعية 114107 عامل في بلدية الدوحة عبر 1912 زيارة قام بها فريق حملة واعي. بينما بلغ عدد الزيارات الميدانية في بلدية الوكرة 301 زيارة حيث استفاد منها 23478 عامل. أما الزيارات الميدانية في بلدية الشيحانية فقد بلغت 201 زيارة لعدد 9592 عامل، وكما استفاد من حملة واعي في بلدية الريان 79188 عامل عبر 1129 زيارة ميدانية.
