Katara launches second bundle of competitions, educational activities
«كتارا» تطلق حزمة ثانية من المسابقات التوعوية
The second bundle of competitions and activities launched by Katara – the Cultural Village through its various accounts on the social network has witnessed a very large turnout.
In this context, Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti emphasised that Katara is keen to continue its cultural and societal role in view of the current circumstances.
He said, “We believe that culture is one of the front lines to combat the spread of this epidemic and thus we seek to preserve the safety of society by a culture that cannot be isolated from what the community is experiencing, it is rather an effective tool to support all efforts made for the safety of all.”
Al-Sulaiti indicated that Katara presented through its accounts on the social media network a series of competitions and activities to various groups of society that would contribute to spreading awareness and education.
He also said that Katara exceeded the local geography of this situation and presented international competitions, which confirm its interest in the human being wherever there are regardless of geographical borders.
Among these competitions – the competition “Istighfar” (Forgiveness) in the short story, short play, poetry and Arabic calligraphy, open to all countries.
The second bundle of Katara competitions is the writing competition in English, as the first winner will receive QR10,000; the second will receive QR7,000 and the third winner QR5,000.
In the “60 seconds” Katara Awareness Competition, participants have to film a video using mobile phone and tell an
educational story.
One of the conditions of this competition is the video must be in high-quality horizontal format taken by the participant himself.
The winners will be selected based on the quality, method of shooting and the content of the story presented, which should be inspiring and out of the ordinary.
The first place winner in this competition will receive QR20,000, the second place winner will receive QR15,000, while the third place
winner will receive QR10,000.
The deadline for submitting these videos is April 30.
This is in addition to a painting drawing competition that comes on the occasion of World Children’s Day for children from 7-14 years, organised by Katara in co-operation with Qatar Post.
Five best drawings will be picked to be printed on Qatar postage stamps, and each winning child will receive a prize of QR2,500. The last date for submitting works is April 30 via e-mail to: kids2020kataraph.com
Katara – the Cultural Village also presents, as part of its activities, “Tamour & Tamoura” a 3D animated series for children and young adults.
The idea of the series revolves around a kingdom of dates fruit, as the heroes in this animation series live from dates, as the adventures of the series inspire children how to correct mistakes and behaviours.
The topics of the episodes do not only approach the negative and critical side, but also address positive topics that reinforce educational, human and social concepts, which constitute guidelines for children in an

أطلقت المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي «كتارا»، عن إطلاق الحزمة الثانية من مجموعة المسابقات والأنشطة، من خلال مختلف حساباتها على شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي.
وفي هذا السياق، أكد سعادة الدكتور خالد بن إبراهيم السليطي المدير العام للمؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي، أن «كتارا» حريصة على مواصلة دورها الثقافي والمجتمعي بما يتناسب مع الظرف الحالي، قائلاً: نحن نؤمن بأن الثقافة من الخطوط الأمامية لمكافحة انتشار هذا الوباء، وبذلك نسعى إلى الحفاظ على سلامة المجتمع بالثقافة، التي لا يمكن أن تكون بمعزل عما يعيشه المجتمع، بل هي أداة فعالة لمساندة كل الجهود المبذولة من أجل سلامة الجميع، لافتا إلى أن «كتارا» تجاوزت الجغرافيا المحلية لهذا الظرف، وقدمت مسابقات دولية، بما يؤكد أن اهتمامها بالإنسان أينما كان، دون اعتبار للحدود الجغرافية، ومن هذه المسابقات: مسابقة جائزة الاستغفار في القصة القصيرة والمسرحية القصيرة والشعر الفصيح والخط العربي، وهي جميعها مسابقات مفتوحة لجميع الدول.
وتتمثل الحزمة الثانية من مسابقات «كتارا» في: مسابقة الكتابة باللغة الإنجليزية، حيث سيحصل الفائز الأول على 10 آلاف ريال، والثاني على 7 آلاف ريال، والثالث على 5 آلاف ريال، حيث أن آخر موعد للمشاركة في هذه المسابقة هو 20 أبريل المقبل، وترسل المشاركات على البريد الإلكتروني: ec2020@kataraph.com
إلى جانب مسابقة «كتارا» 60 ثانية توعوية، والتي تتمثل في تصوير فيديو بالهاتف الجوال يحكي قصة توعوية، وسيحصل الفائز بالمرتبة الأولى في هذه المسابقة على 20 ألف ريال، والفائز بالمرتبة الثانية على 15 ألف ريال، أما الفائز الثالث فسيحصل على 10 آلاف ريال، وآخر موعد لإرسال هذه الفيديوهات هو 30 أبريل المقبل.
بالإضافة إلى مسابقة رسم لوحة، والتي تأتي بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للطفل، وهي مسابقة موجهة للأطفال من سن 7 إلى 14 سنة، وتنظمها «كتارا» بالتعاون مع «بريد قطر»، وسيتم اختيار أفضل 5 رسمات لتتم طباعتها على طوابع بريد قطر، كما سيحصل كل طفل فائز على جائزة قدرها 2500 ريال، مع العلم بأن آخر موعد للمشاركة هو تاريخ 30 أبريل المقبل، ويتم إرسال الرسومات عن طريق البريد الإلكتروني kids2020@kataraph.com
كما تقدم «كتارا» ضمن أنشطتها، مسلسل «تمور وتمورة» وهو مسلسل موجه للأطفال واليافعين.
