Completion of Main Trunk Sewer Serving 8 Northern Areas
اكتمال أعمال إنشاء نفق رئيسي لشبكة مياه الصرف الصحي يخدم 8 مناطق شمالية
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal‘ announced the completion of all the main upgrade works for the 17.2-kilometer-trunk sewer that serves 8 areas to the North of Doha. The new trunk sewer aims to facilitate discharge of sewage flows from several northern areas such as Rawdat Al Jahaniya, Al Themaid, Rawdat Egdaim, North Al Nassriya, Bani Hajer, Al Kharaitiyat, Izghawa, and the area surrounding Al Rayyan Stadium. This is in addition to serving Al Rayyan Stadium, which is one of the stadiums that will host World cup 2020.
Eng. Abdulla Al Nuaimi, Project Engineer in the Roads Projects Department, said: “The completed works involved the construction of a deep trunk sewer extending from Al Rayyan Stadium to Al Shamal Road to collect and discharge foul flows to Pumping Station 70, located in Al-Ebb and Leabaib. The sewage will then be pumped into the treatment plant in Umm Slal Municipality.”
Eng. Al Nuaimi also added that “The foul sewer infrastructure upgrade serves several areas witnessing a significant urban growth as it collects the sewage of other existing projects in the area. It will also improve the quality of life as well as the health and environmental conditions in the area by providing well-developed sewer connections to replace the traditional septic tanks.”
Eng. Al Nuaimi pointed out that the project comes as part of Ashghal’s commitment to solve sewerage-related issues in these areas by providing a strategic deep sewer line that transfers flows to the main treatment plant in the area.
It is worth noting that the sewer line starts at a depth of 7 meters, from Al Rayyan Stadium, until it reaches the tie-in point in Al-Kharaitiyat and Izghawa area on Al Shamal Road, where the line runs at a depth of approximately 30 meters.
أعلنت هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” عن الانتهاء من تنفيذ جميع أعمال إنشاء النفق الرئيسي لشبكة مياه الصرف الصحي بطول 17.2 كيلومتر، والذي يهدف لتطوير البنية التحتية للصرف الصحي لخدمة 8 مناطق في شمال الدوحة تشمل منطقة روضة الجهانية، ومنطقة الثميد، وروضة إقديم، وشمال الناصرية، وبني هاجر، والخريطيات، وإزغوى بالإضافة إلى المنطقة المحيطة بإستاد الريان، ذلك إلى جانب خدمة استاد الريان الذي من المقرر استضافته لمباريات كأس العالم 2020.
وقد أشار المهندس/ عبدالله النعيمي، مدير المشروع، بإدارة مشروعات الطرق، إلى أن الأعمال المنجزة ضمن نطاق المشروع شملت توفير نفق رئيسي لتجميع مياه الصرف الصحي من خلال إنشاء خط أنبوب عميق يمتد من استاد الريان حتى طريق الشمال ليجمع مياه الصرف الصحي ويسهل نقل التدفقات إلى محطة الضخ رقم 70 التي تقع في العب ولعبيب، ومن ثم تقوم بدورها بضخ مياه الصرف إلى محطة معالجة الصرف الصحي في بلدية أم صلال.
وأضاف المهندس النعيمي أن أعمال تطوير البنية التحتية للصرف الصحي التي تم تنفيذها، تخدم عدّة مناطق تشهد تطوراً ونمواً كبيرين حيث توفر مصباً لمياه الصرف الصحي لمشاريع أخرى قائمة بالمنطقة كما تخدم احتياجات السكان وتساهم في تحسين جودة الحياة والظروف الصحية والبيئية في المناطق المذكورة أعلاه من خلال توفير وصلات صرف صحي مطورة تحل محل خزانات الصرف. وأوضح أن هذا المشروع يأتي حرصاً من “أشغال” على حل مشكلة الصرف الصحي في هذه المناطق من خلال توفير نفقٍ عميقٍ استراتيجي يحوّل التدفقات إلى محطة معالجة مياه الصرف الصحي الرئيسية في المنطقة.
كما تجدر الإشارة إلى أن الأنبوب الرئيسي لشبكة الصرف الصحي يبدأ على عمق حوالي 7 متر تحت الأرض من استاد الريان وصولاً إلى نقطة الربط في منطقة الخريطيات وأزغوى بطريق الشمال حيث يكون خط الأنبوب على عمق حوالي 30 متر.
