Amir Inspects the Production of Artificial Respirators at Barzan Holding Company
صاحب السمو يطلع على خطوط إنتاج أجهزة التنفس الاصطناعي بشركة برزان القابضة
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani visited today in the afternoon the Research and Development Center at Barzan Holding Company affiliated to the Ministry of Defense at their headquarters in the Qatar Science and Technology Park to view the production lines for the manufacturing of the (Savr-Q) respirators.
During the visit His Highness listened to an explanation about the production lines of the (Savr-Q) respirator. Barzan will produce the respirators through a strategic partnership with the American company, Wilcox, in order to cover the health sector’s requirements in the country, and to export abroad in light of the increased global demand for respirators for the treatment of those affected by the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). The company is estimated to produce 2000 devices per week.
His Highness also met with a number of Qatari engineers at the center who are working to produce devices that comply with the standards of the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The production of artificial respirators (Savr-Q) by Barzan Holding Company comes in response to His Highness’s directives to the Ministry of Defense to contribute to the measures taken by the country in combating the novel coronavirus pandemic.
HH The Amir was accompanied by HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and a number of their excellencies ministers and senior officials.
قام حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى عصر اليوم بزيارة إلى مركز البحوث والتطوير بشركة برزان القابضة التابعة لوزارة الدفاع وذلك في مقرها بواحة العلوم والتكنولوجيا، للاطلاع على خطوط الانتاج الخاصة بتصنيع أجهزة التنفس الاصطناعي (Savr-Q).
واستمع سموه خلال الزيارة إلى شرح حول البنية التحتية الصناعية لخطوط الإنتاج الخاصة بجهاز (Savr-Q) الذي ستنتجه شركة برزان من خلال شراكتها الاستراتيجية مع شركة ويلكوكس (Wilcox) الأمريكية بهدف تغطية متطلبات القطاع الصحي في الدولة، والتصدير للخارج في ظل ازدياد الطلب عالميا على أجهزة التنفس لعلاج المصابين بفيروس كورونا المستجد (كوفيد-١٩)، ويقدر إنتاج الشركة ب٢٠٠٠ جهاز أسبوعيا.
كما التقى سموه مع عدد من المهندسين القطريين العاملين بالمركز والذين يعملون على إنتاج الأجهزة المطابقة لمعايير منظمة الغذاء والدواء الأمريكية FDA.
ويأتي إنتاج أجهزة التنفس الاصطناعي (Savr-Q) من قبل شركة برزان القابضة استجابة لتوجيهات سموه لوزارة الدفاع بتسخير إمكاناتها للمساهمة في الإجراءات التي تتخذها الدولة في مكافحة جائحة كورونا المستجد (كوفيد-١٩).
رافق سمو الأمير، معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية وعدد من أصحاب السعادة الوزراء وكبار المسؤولين.
