QM temporarily closes all museums and bazaars
متاحف قطر تعلن عن إغلاق مؤقت لجميع المتاحف والبازارات
Doha: Qatar Museums (QM) has decided to close all museums and heritage sites to visitors until further notice.
In a press statement on Thursday, QM said: “At Qatar Museums, the health and safety of our visitors and staff is of the utmost importance. In response to the recently reported cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Qatar, as a precautionary measure we have closed all our museums and heritage sites to visitors until further notice.
“Additionally, all museum shops, cafes and restaurants and the National Museum of Qatar playground will be closed.”
It added that the museums include: National Museum of Qatar, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Islamic Art, and Fire Station.
The statement added: “The following initiatives are also cancelled until further notice: MIA Bazaar and NMoQ Baraha Bazaar, school visits, workshops, lectures, tours and educational programming, and public events.
“Due to the evolving nature of the situation, we will continue to review and revise our plans and processes and follow guidance from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).”

قررت متاحف قطر إغلاق جميع المتاحف والمواقع التراثية أمام الزوار إلى إشعار آخر .
وأوضحت متاحف قطر في بيان اليوم، أن هذا القرار يأتي في إطار إيلائها أهمية قصوى لصحة وسلامة الزوار والموظفين، وبالنظر لحالات الإصابة بفيروس كورونا المستجد (كوفيد 19) التي تم الإبلاغ عنها مؤخرًا في دولة قطر، كإجراء وقائي.
ونوهت، إلى أنه سيتم كذلك إغلاق جميع متاجر المتاحف والمقاهي والمطاعم وفضاءات اللعب بمتحف قطر الوطني.
وتشمل قائمة المتاحف: متحف قطر الوطني، متحف: المتحف العربي للفن الحديث، متحف الفن الإسلامي، ومطافئ: مقر الفنّانين.
كما تم أيضًا إلغاء عدد من الفعاليات إلى إشعار آخر منها: بازار متحف الفن الإسلامي وبازار براحة متحف قطر الوطني وزيارات المدارس وورش العمل والمحاضرات والجولات والبرامج التعليمية، ثم الفعاليات العامة.
وأبرزت متاحف قطر، أنه بسبب الطبيعة المتغيرة للوضع الحالي، ستستمر في مراجعة وتحديث خططها وعملياتها، واتباع إرشادات وتوجيهات وزارة الصحة العامة.
