MOI arrests one person for selling medical supplies illegally

The Criminal Investigation Department of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation arrested one person from an Asian country for selling medical supplies illegally.
The Department received information that the accused is selling medical supplies illegally at exorbitant prices. After completing the required procedures, he was arrested in possession of a large number of medical supplies. They include 800 medical gloves, 7900 medical masks and 1502 medical clothing besides antibiotics, thermometers and money up to 200,000 Qatar Riyals.
On investigation, he confessed to purchasing these supplies from various pharmacies in the country and reselling them it to the public illegally, exploiting their demand in light of global health conditions. After completing the necessary procedures, he has been referred to the concerned authorities in the country for further legal measures.
The concerned authorities of the Ministry urged the public to report such violations that could cause health and economic damages to society.
ألقت إدارة البحث الجنائي بالإدارة العامة للمباحث الجنائية القبض على أحد الأشخاص يحمل جنسية إحدى الدول الآسيوية بعد قيامه ببيع مستلزمات طبية بطرق غير مشروعة.
وكانت معلومات قد وردت إلى الإدارة تفيد بقيام المتهم ببيع مستلزمات طبية بطرق غير مشروعة وبأسعار مضاعفة … وبعد استكمال كافة الإجراءات اللازمة تم إلقاء القبض عليه وبحوزته كمية كبيرة من المستلزمات الطبية تشمل (800 )قفاز طبي و(7900 )كماما طبيا وملابس طبية (1502) قطعة، بالإضافة إلى مضاد حيوي وأجهزة قياس حرارة ومبالغ مالية تصل إلى 200 ألف ريال قطري. وبالتحقيق معه أقر بشرائه لتلك المستلزمات من صيدليات مختلفة في الدولة ومن ثم قيامه بإعادة بيعها للجمهور خارج قنواتها الرسمية المعروفة مستغلا حاجة الجمهور إليها في ظل الأوضاع الصحية العالمية.
وبعد استكمال الإجراءات اللازمة معه تمت إحالته للجهات المعنية في الدولة لمباشرة إجراءاتها معه المتبعة في مثل هذه الأحوال، وتناشد الجهات المعنية بالوزارة الجمهور الكريم إلى أهمية الإبلاغ لدى الجهات المعنية عن مثل هذه المخالفات التي تترتب عليها أضرارا صحية واقتصادية تلحق بالمجتمع.
