MME and Ashghal: Commencement of Al Daayen Park Development Project
البلدية والبيئة و”أشغال”: بدء تنفيذ أعمال مشروع إنشاء حديقة الظعاين
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment allocated a land for building a new park at Al Daayen Municipality, to be a tourist and leisure destination serving the area residents and the surrounding areas. The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announced the commencement of the construction works for Al Daayen Park Development Project, as part of The Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads & Public Places in Qatar. The park construction is scheduled to be completed and opened to public in the third quarter of 2020.
Mr. Rashed Meshlesh Al Khayyareen, Director of Al Daayen Municipality at The Ministry of Muicipality and Environment, stated that the MME allocated a land for building a new park at Al Daayen Municipality to be a tourist & leisure destination serving the area residents and the surrounding areas. He added that the park area is about 39,000 m2.
Eng. Maryam Al Kuwari, Project Design Manager at the Supervisory Committee of the Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar at Ashghal, said that the park is located there to be an outlet for the families in Al Daayen and Semaisema Areas. The project includes providing green open spaces with seating areas and Kids playing area. A Fitness Area will be provided, and Pedestrian and Cycle Paths will be built, to encourage people to practice sports and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Engineer Maryam Al Kuwari added that the project includes providing service kiosks that includes restaurants, cafes, toilets and security rooms. She also noted that the park visitors can use the parking space provided by Al Daayen Municipality, which currently includes 50 parking lots that will be increased in the future. She also said that there will be decorative lighting poles with special dimmed lighting to secure privacy.
Al Daayen Park project is one of the projects of the Supervisory Committee of the Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar, which recently announced the commencement of Ras bu Abboud Beach Development Project last months. Also last January, it announced the completion of 30% of Doha Corniche development Works, as part of Central Doha Development Project. The Committee recently completed the works of some parks and plazas in several areas in the country.

The Committee’s projects aim to create a sustainable environment through implementing several tasks that include building central public parks, providing pedestrians and cycles paths, providing street furniture and some decorative lighting, developing Doha Corniche and some beaches, in addition to developing Central Doha area by reviving some internal public roads, vital places, residential areas and plazas.
The Committee also aims to contribute to creating a social environment with a distinct identity through the participation of community members in creating artwork and planting works in coordination with several ministries and government agencies in the country.
قامت وزارة البلدية والبيئة بتخصيص أرض لإنشاء حديقة جديدة في بلدية الظعاين، لتكون وجهة سياحية وترفيهية تخدم سكان المنطقة والمناطق المحيطة. وبدأت هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” تنفيذ أعمال مشروع إنشاء الحديقة، ضمن أعمال لجنة الإشراف على تجميل الطرق والأماكن العامة بالدولة، ومن المقرر انتهاء المشروع وافتتاح الحديقة للجمهور في الربع الثالث من العام الجاري 2020.
وبهذه المناسبة صرح السيد راشد مشلش الخيارين، مدير بلدية الظعاين في وزارة البلدية والبيئة أن وزارة البلدية والبيئة قد قامت بتخصيص أرض لإنشاء حديقة جديدة في بلدية الظعاين لتكون وجهة سياحية وترفيهية تخدم سكان المنطقة والمناطق المحيطة. واضاف أن الحديقة تقع على مساحة تبلغ حوالي 39 الف متر مربع.
وصرحت المهندسة مريم الكواري، مدير تصميم المشروع بلجنة الإشراف على تجميل الطرق والأماكن العامة بالدولة في “أشغال”، أنه سيتم انشاء الحديقة في هذا الموقع لتكون متنفسا للعائلات بمنطقة الظعاين وسميسمة حيث يتضمن المشروع توفير مساحات خضراء مفتوحة ذات أماكن مخصصة للجلوس والاستراحة، وتوفير مناطق لألعاب الأطفال. وللتشجيع على ممارسة الرياضة واتباع نمط صحي تم توفير منطقة لألعاب الرياضة, بالإضافة لإنشاء مسارات للمشي والجري والدراجات الهوائية.
وأضافت المهندسة مريم الكواري أن المشروع يتضمن توفير أكشاك خدمية تشمل مطاعم ومقاهي ومصلى ودورات مياه وغرف للحراسة. كما نوهت أن زائري الحديقة يمكنهم استخدام مواقف بلدية الظعاين والتي تشمل حالياً 50 موقف للسيارات ومن المخطط زيادة عددهم في المستقبل. ووضحت أنه سيتم توفير أعمدة إنارة تجميلية وذات إضاءة خافتة بالحديقة لتمتاز بالخصوصية.
مشروع انشاء حديقة الظعاين هو أحد مشاريع لجنة الإشراف على تجميل الطرق والأماكن العامة بالدولة والتي أعلنت مؤخراً البدء في مشروع انشاء وتطوير شاطئ راس بو عبود الشهر الماضي، كما أعلنت أيضاً في يناير من هذا العام أنه تم انجاز 30% من أعمال تطوير كورنيش الدوحة وهو جزء من مشروع تطوير منطقة الدوحة المركزية. وكانت اللجنة قد انتهت مؤخراً من أعمال عدة حدائق وساحات في أماكن متفرقة بالدولة.
لجنة الإشراف على تجميل الطرق والأماكن العامة بالدولة
تهدف مشروعات اللجنة إلى خلق بيئة مستدامة من خلال تنفيذ عدة مهام رئيسية تتضمن بناء حدائق عامة مركزية، وتوفير مسارات خاصة للمشاة والدراجات الهوائية، وتزويد المناطق بأثاث الشوارع، وبعض الإضاءات التجميلية، وتطوير كورنيش الدوحة وبعض الشواطئ، وتطوير منطقة الدوحة المركزية عن طريق إعادة إحياء بعض الطرق العامة والداخلية والأماكن الحيوية والسكنية والساحات المفتوحة. كما تهدف اللجنة إلى المساهمة في تهيئة بيئة مجتمعية ذات هوية مميزة من خلال مشاركة أفراد المجتمع في الأعمال الفنية وأعمال التشجير بالتنسيق مع عدة وزارات وهيئات حكومية بالدولة.
