Minister of Public Health & Minister of Municipality and Environment Inspect the Preparedness of Umm Slal Quarantine Compound
وزيرا الصحة العامة والبلدية والبيئة يتفقدان جاهزية مجمّع الحجر الصحي في أم صلال
Her Excellency Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health and His Excellency Mr Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Municipality and Environment inspected the newly established Umm Slal quarantine compound as part of the precautionary and preventive measures taken by the government against COVID-19.
The Ministers examined the health capabilities and equipment at the expansive compound which has been prepared to receive any case requiring quarantine.
Umm Slal quarantine compound is composed of 32 buildings with capacity for 18,000 beds and will be available once the compound is fully equipped in the next few weeks. The compound currently contains 4,000 beds and will reach 8,000 beds in the next week. It has been fully equipped to ensure comfort, safety and entertainment needs in addition to the necessary health services for quarantined people.
During the visit, the Ministers toured the compound and inspected the preparedness and were briefed by the medical team on the compound’s readiness to receive cases that are qualified for quarantine, in addition to the services that the compound provides such as a clinic and other facilities.
The Ministers were also briefed on the response plans to receive quarantine cases according to the highest safety and security measure and global health standards.
HE Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health thanked the frontline medical teams for their efforts to confront COVID-19 and to protect the society. HE Al Kuwari also praised the collaboration within the community at large to follow precautionary measures to protect themselves, their families and the wider community.
The visit comes as part of a number of field visits by health leaders at MOPH and HMC to ensure the implementation of preparedness and readiness plans to prevent coronavirus in addition to other precautionary measures taken in this regard.
قام كل من سعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري وزير الصحة العامة وسعادة السيد عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز بن تركي السبيعي وزير البلدية والبيئة بزيارة تفقدية لمجمع الحجر الصحي بمنطقة أم صلال والذي تم تجهيزه في إطار الاجراءات الاحترازية والتدابير الاحتياطية التي تتخذها دولة قطر لمكافحة فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19) والتصدي له.
وتعرف وزيرا الصحة العامة، والبلدية والبيئة خلال الزيارة على الإمكانيات والتجهيزات الصحية التي يضمها المجمع والذي تم تحضيره لاستقبال أي حالات يتطلب وضعها في الحجر الصحي وذلك بطاقة استيعابية كبيرة.
ويحتوي مجمع الحجر الصحي في أم صلال على ٣٢ مبنى، والمجمع مجهز حاليا بـعدد 4000 سرير، وسيصل إلى “8” آلاف سرير خلال أسبوع من الآن، كما سيتم إضافة “10” آلاف سرير أخرى خلال الأسابيع القليلة المقبلة لتصل القدرة الاستيعابية للمجمع إلى “18” ألف سرير. وتم تزويده بكل وسائل الراحة والأمان والترفيه والاشتراطات الصحية اللازمة.
واطلع وزيرا الصحة العامة، والبلدية والبيئة خلال جولتهما في المجمع على مدى استعدادات مجمع الحجر الصحي لاستقبال الحالات التي تنطبق عليها شروط الحجر إلى جانب تعرفها على التجهيزات المتوفرة فيه مثل العيادة الطبية وغيرها من المرافق الأخرى، وذلك من خلال شرح قدمه الكادر الطبي المتواجد هناك.
كما تعرفا على خطط الاستجابة لاستقبال الحالات التي تخضع للحجر الصحي طبقا لأعلى معايير الأمن والسلامة والمعايير الصحية العالمية.
وأشادت سعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري وزير الصحة العامة بالجهود التي تبذلها مختلف الجهات في الدولة للتصدي لفيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19)، منوهة بالجاهزية العالية للفرق الصحية للتعامل مع هذا الوباء.
وعبرت سعادتها عن شكرها للطواقم الطبية العاملة في الصف الأول لمواجهة فيروس (كوفيد-19) وحماية المجتمع. كما أشادت سعادتها بالتعاون المجتمعي الكبير في تنفيذ التدابير الوقائية لحماية أنفسهم وأسرهم ومجتمعهم.
وتأتي الزيارة، والتي شارك فيها كذلك عدد من القيادات الصحية بوزارة الصحة العامة ومؤسسة حمد الطبية، ضمن عدد من الجولات الميدانية للتأكد من تنفيذ خطط الاستعداد والجاهزية للتصدي لفيروس كورونا إضافة إلى كافة الاجراءات والتدابير والاحترازات التي يتم اتخاذها في هذا الإطار.
