Education Minister praises distance education system quality

Doha: The Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi praised the quality of work in the distance education system in terms of filming and directing to provide an interactive scientific subject that is attractive to the student.

This came during a visit by the Minister to Abu Hanifa Kindergarten for Boys, one of the centers devoted to the distance education system, which works through five chapters to produce video lessons and educational materials for the early education stage, and is broadcasted via Microsoft Teams.

During the visit, the Minister was briefed on the latest equipment for photographing lessons and listened to an explanation of the system of continuous assessment of students, the role of female teachers in schools, mechanisms for communicating with parents, and the availability of all technical capabilities that guarantee the quality of the materials.

The Minister praised the teachers who record the lessons, the coordinators, and the educational mentors, hailing the teamwork spirit represented in the direct coordination between the early education work team and the e-learning team. He stressed the importance of taking the utmost care and caution by the work teams, and following all precautions during preparing and producing video lessons.

The Minister HE Al Hammadi said, “We are facing a great responsibility and the duty requires that we continue with the same diligence for the continuation of the educational process in a way that ensures the continuation of our sons and daughters in their educational and cognitive achievement, so there isn’t an educational gap that could affect them when they move to the following levels of education.

“I thank all of you for what you are doing under this current circumstance, what you are doing is not less than the great roles our brothers and colleagues play in the health and security sectors and the rest of the state.”

The distance education system has many advantages, such as flexibility, as these lessons are available in illustrated forms and electronic exercises that the student can solve and re-watch at any time.

It also provides the ability to interact and communicate with the teacher, while providing the main source of learning (textbooks for study materials) in PDF format, in addition to more supportive videos, as well as providing a set of sample answers for parents.

The Education Ministry is working to provide technical support to implement distance learning for schools or parents in the event of any obstacles or challenges in this system.

جاء ذلك خلال الزيارة التي قام بها سعادته لروضة أبي حنيفة النموذجية للبنين، إحدى المراكز المخصصة لنظام التعليم عن بُعد، والتي تعمل من خلال خمسة فصول لإنتاج الدروس المصورة والمواد التعليمية الخاصة بمرحلة التعليم المبكر، ويتم بثها عبر نظام ميكروسوفت Teams.

واطلع سعادة الوزير، خلال الزيارة، على آخر التجهيزات لتصوير الدروس، واستمع إلى شرح لنظام التقييم المستمر للطلاب، ودور المعلمات في المدارس، وآليات التواصل مع أولياء الأمور، وعلى توافر كافة الإمكانات التقنية التي تضمن جودة المواد المصورة.

وأثنى سعادته على المعلمين والمعلمات الذين يقومون بتسجيل الدروس ومن ورائهم المنسقين والموجهين التربويين، وعلى العمل بروح الفريق الواحد ممثلاً في التنسيق المباشر بين فريق عمل التعليم المبكر وفريق عمل التعليم الالكتروني.. مشددا على أهمية اتخاذ أقصى درجات الحيطة والحذر من قبل فرق العمل، واتباع كافة الإجراءات الاحترازية خلال التحضير والتصوير.

وقال سعادته “نحن جميعاً الآن أمام مسؤولية كبيرة أمام الله والوطن، وواجبنا يقتضي أن نستمر بنفس الجد لاستمرار العملية التعليمية بما يضمن استمرار أبنائنا وبناتنا في تحصيلهم العلمي والمعرفي، حتى لا تحدث فجوة تعليمية تؤثر عليهم عند انتقالهم للمستويات العلمية التالية. “

وأضاف “أشكركم جميعا على ما تقومون به في ظل هذا الظرف الراهن.. إن ما تقومون به لا يقل عن الأدوار العظيمة التي يقوم بها إخواننا وزملاؤنا في القطاعين الصحي والأمني و باقي قطاعات الدولة، و ندعو الله أن يرفع هذه الغمة ويحفظ بلادنا ومن يعيش على أرضها من كل شر وسوء”.

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن نظام التعليم عن بُعد يتميز بالعديد من المزايا، كالمرونة، حيث تتوفر هذه الدروس في أشكال مصورة وتمارين إلكترونية يقوم الطالب بحلها وإعادة مشاهدتها في أي وقت يشاء.

كما يتيح نظام التعليم عن بعد خاصية التفاعل والتواصل مع المعلم، مع توفير المصدر الرئيسي للتعلم (الكتب المدرسية للمواد الدراسية) على صيغة PDF، بالإضافة إلى المزيد من الفيديوهات الداعمة، فضلا عن توفير مجموعة من نماذج الأجوبة لأولياء الأمور.

وتعمل الوزارة على توفير الدعم الفني لتنفيذ التعلم عن بعد للمدارس أو أولياء الأمور في حال حدوث أي معوقات أو تحديات في هذا النظام.
