وذكر الموقع أن قرب إيرلندا من الساحل ساعدها على خفض مستويات التلوث في الهواء، ودفع بها إلى المرتبة التاسعة في قائمة الدول العشر الأنقى هواء في العالم. ويعود الفضل في نجاح لوكسمبورغ في الحفاظ على انخفاض تلوث الهواء إلى انخفاض عدد السكان. كما يوجد في البلاد قوانين بيئية صارمة تحظر قطع الأشجار والتلوث المتأتي من المصانع، التي ينبغي أن تمتثل لها جميع الشركات.
