Bounedjah, Xavi Win Best Player, Coach in January

Doha: Xavi Hernandez of Al Sadd has been named as the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League’s Best Coach for the month of January, 2021, according to STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the Qatar Stars League.
Under Xavi, Al Sadd played four matches and won all of them to collect the maximum 12 points.
The Wolves beat Al Kharaitiyat 5-0 in Week 12, Al Sailiya 8-0 in Week 13, Al Duhail 3-1 in Week 14 and Al Khor 7-0 in Week 15.
During the period, Al Sadd scored 23 goals while conceding just one and they are now leading the QNB Stars League table with 41 points as the tournament has taken a break after 15 rounds of action.
It may be recalled that Xavi was adjudged the Best Coach for the months of September and October this season.
Xavi’s playing career was full of success with Barcelona, where he joined at the age of 11, winning many titles especially in Spain and Europe.
In 2015, he moved to Al Sadd, where he won the Qatar League, Amir Cup and Qatar Cup. The Spaniard took up coaching after retiring as a player at the end of 2018-19 season with Al Sadd. He has since been at the helm of Al Sadd.
Meanwhile, Al Sadd’s Baghdad Bounedjah has been named as the QNB Stars League’s best player for the month of January, 2021.
Bounedjah scored 11 goals and gave three assists in four matches in the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League’s Weeks 12, 13, 14 and 15. He spent a total of 378:45 minutes on the pitch.
The Algerian striker played a key role for his team as Al Sadd are now leading the QNB Stars League table with 41 points as the tournament has taken a break after 15 rounds.
During the period, Al Sadd defeated Al Kharaitiyat 5-0 in Week 12, Al Sailiya 8-0 in Week 13, Al Duhail 3-1 in Week 14 and Al Khor 7-0 in Week 15.

وخلال شهر يناير، لعب السد 4 مباريات في بطولة الدوري، حقق فيها الفوز وحصل على 12 نقطة كاملة.
وحقق السد الفوز على الخريطيات بخمسة أهداف دون رد في الأسبوع الثاني عشر، وفاز على السيلية بثمانية أهداف دون رد في الأسبوع الثالث عشر، وعلى الدحيل بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدف في الأسبوع الرابع عشر، وفاز على الخور بسبعة أهداف دون رد في الأسبوع الخامس عشر.
وسجل السد خلال هذه المباريات 23 هدفا واستقبلت شباكه هدفا واحدا، ويواصل الفريق صدارته لجدول الترتيب بعد الأسبوع الخامس عشر برصيد 41 نقطة.
من جهته، حصل النجم الجزائري بغداد بونجاح على الجائزة بعد ان واصل تقديم مستوى كبيرا هذا الموسم مع فريقه من حيث تسجيل الأهداف وصناعة الفرص التهديفية والتمريرات الحاسمة والأداء العام، ليؤكد أنه واحد من أفضل اللاعبين المحترفين الأجانب على الساحة الكروية خلال السنوات الماضية.
وسجل بونجاح خلال هذه المباريات (11 هدفا)، كما أن لديه (3 تمريرات حاسمة)، وشارك بمجموع دقائق (378 دقيقة).
ويتصدر النجم الجزائري قائمة هدافي بطولة الدوري هذا الموسم حتى الآن بعد الأسبوع الخامس عشر برصيد (17 هدفا).
من جهة أخرى، حصل حارس المرمى الشاب لفريق الكرة بنادي الدحيل صلاح زكريا على جائزة أفضل لاعب تحت 23 سنة عن شهر يناير، حيث شارك مع الدحيل خلال يناير في الجولات من الثانية عشرة وحتى الخامسة عشرة لبطولة الدوري بمجموع دقائق (382 دقيقة).
