Qatar Total Open: Sale of tickets begins tomorrow

DOHA: With less than a month to the Qatar Total Open 2020, tennis fans can now purchase their tickets as sales begin at City Center Mall and Doha Festival City Mall tomorrow (Friday), and at the Villagio Mall on Sunday.
Tickets can also be purchased at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex, the venue of the tournament, as well as online by visiting www.qatartennis.org.
The Qatar Total Open 2020, the 18th edition, which will be held from February 23 to 29, is featuring eight of the top-ten players, and four former champions.
World No.1 Ashleigh Barty is topping the list which also has World No. 2 Karolina Pliskova and 2014 champion and World No. 4 Simona Halep, 2019 Wimbledon semi-finalist and World No.5 Elina Svitolina, World No. 6 and 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu among others.
In all, a total of 64 players, including four qualifiers, will feature in the singles event of the WTA Premier 5 tournament while 32 teams will slug it out in the doubles.
Tournament Director Saad Al Mohannadi said, “We are delighted to commence the sales of tickets for this year’s edition of the Qatar Total Open as early as possible. Considering the caliber of stars on parade at the tournament, we believe that it is going to be one of the best ever. We’ll like to encourage everyone to get their tickets as soon as possible in order to enjoy the exciting array of activities lined up for them at the tournament.”

قبل أقل من شهر على انطلاق بطولة قطر توتال المفتوحة للتنس 2020، يمكن لعشاق رياضة التنس الحصول على تذاكرهم من خلال منافذ البيع المختلفة في مجمعي «سيتي سينتر» و»دوحة فستيفال سيتي»، اعتباراً من الجمعة المقبل، وفي مجمع «فيلاجيو» اعتباراً من الأحد المقبل.

تقام النسخة الثامنة عشرة من البطولة على ملاعب مجمع خليفة الدولي للتنس والاسكواش، بين 23 -29 فبراير المقبل، وتشهد مشاركة 8 من المصنفات العشرة الأوليات على العالم، وأربع حاملات سابقات للقب.
تقود الأسترالية المصنفة الأولى على العالم آشلي بارتي قائمة النجمات المشاركات في هذه النسخة، بالإضافة إلى المصنفة الثانية كارولينا بليشكوفا، والمصنفة الرابعة وبطلة نسخة العام 2014 سيمونا هاليب، والمصنفة الخامسة ووصيفة بطولة ويمبلدون 2019 إيلينا سفيتولينا، والمصنفة السادسة وحاملة لقب بطولة أميركا المفتوحة للتنس بيانكا أندريسكو.
تشهد البطولة مشاركة 64 لاعبة في منافسات الفردي، بالإضافة إلى 32 فريقاً في منافسات الزوجي.
وقال سعد المهندي مدير البطولة: «نظراً للمشاركة الكبيرة لأبرز نجمات التنس في العالم، نتوقع أن تكون نسخة البطولة الأفضل في تاريخها، لذلك ندعو جماهير رياضة التنس في دولة قطر للحصول على تذاكرهم للاستمتاع بالعديد من الفعاليات المقامة على هامش المباريات».
