MME calls on farm owners to adhere to camel grazing ban
«البلدية» تدعو إلى ملّاك العزب ضرورة الالتزام بقرار حظر رعي الإبل
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) detected last month 111 violations of camel grazing ban in various regions of the country, and all the necessary legal measures were taken to preserve the Qatari environment.
The Ministry has renewed its call to farm and camel owners to adhere to the decision that bans camel grazing in order to preserve the natural environment and contribute to the efforts that the Ministry is making to enrich wildlife throughout the country.
The patrols of Department of Protection and Wildlife at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment work round the clock to control violations and take all necessary legal measures in this regard.
The decision follows the positive results of the ban in the previous years in terms of growth of trees and plants as well as recovery of green areas.
Experts say since the ban was imposed, many plants and trees have grown in desert areas. Meanwhile, the Health Control Section of Al Rayan Municipality last month conducted a number of inspection drives against a number of food outlets to ensure that they meet requirements and standard specifications.
The campaign resulted in seizing six violations of the Law No 8 of 1990 on the regulation of human food.
Also, the veterinary doctors inspected 361 slaughters and destroyed three of them because they were unfit for human consumption. The value of the fines paid during that period amounted to QR26,250.
دعت وزارة البلدية والبيئة، مجدداً، ملّاك العزب وأصحاب الإبل إلى ضرورة الالتزام بقرار حظر الرعي؛ حفاظاً على البيئة الطبيعية والمساهمة في الجهود التي تتطلع إليها الوزارة لإثراء الحياة البرية عامة والروض خاصة في جميع أرجاء الدولة.
وأوضحت الوزارة، في هذا السياق، أن دوريات إدارة الحماية والحياة الفطرية التابعة لها تعمل على مدار الساعة لضبط أية مخالفة لقرار حظر رعي الإبل، بحيث تتخذ جميع الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بهذا الشأن، مشيرة إلى أنه تم خلال شهر ديسمبر الماضي ضبط 111 مخالفة لقرار حظر الرعي بمختلف المناطق بالدولة، وتم اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة حفاظاً على البيئة القطرية.
يأتي قرار حظر رعي الإبل نتيجة لما حققه الحظر من إيجابيات كثيرة، مكّنت الأشجار والشجيرات والنباتات من النمو بشكل جيد، كما استعادت الروض عافيتها بعد أن شهدت تدهوراً كبيراً نتيجة الرعي الجائر.
