Kahramaa opens office in KidZania Doha
افتتاح مقر «كهرماء» في «كيدزانيا الدوحة»
The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) opened yesterday its office in KidZania Doha, an edutainment concept in Aspire Park to introduce its activities and services to children in an interactive and fun-filled way.
Public Relations and Communication Manager, Mohamed Ali Saleh Al Muhannadi at Kahramaa and Chief Business Development and Enterprise Manager, Aspire Zone Foundation, and Board Member of Qatar Entertainment ‘Tasali’ Ali Abdulla A Y Al Mutawaa signed the partnership agreement between Kahramaa and Tasali in the opening ceremony.
The newly opened Kahramaa office consists of two main sections with an area of about 30 square meters having seven educational activities covering Kahramaa’s major business and activities in the field of electricity, water and smart grids.
The activities also include conservation of electricity and water consumption, energy efficiency, renewable energy, water resources and customers’ services in an ideal interactive environment for children to help develop their skills and obtain new knowledge and skills with more fun and entertainment.
The visitor of Kahramaa office will find many activities that enable children to get acquainted with the real practical life and gain experiences from it. The visiting children will be informed through realistic simulation of the nature of the work of the institution in its various fields and the importance of its practice.
The first section of the office is dedicated for activities of National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency (Tarsheed). The activities are about conserving resources and protecting the environment through a demonstration to children in a creative way that suits their ages.
This section will provide opportunity to children to work as a water electronics engineer and how to test electronic sensor systems and water flow control with a faucet. The children will be also educated about testing sensor systems and how to conserve energy and to generate electricity from solar energy and use it as an alternative energy.
In this section, the children can practice working as a water resource engineer and testing the quality of drinking water, or treat water interruption problems, in addition to working as a smart meter engineer and learn how to produce and distribute electricity, and training on how to troubleshoot faults.
The Services and Resources Department provides training to work as a solar panel engineer by training children to install, dismantle and repair solar panels to provide alternative energy from the Sun.
Children can work as an energy efficiency checker by educating children about the most important wrong practices in electricity and water consumption and its impact on state resources and damage In the environment.The children will tour KidZania facility to ensure that they follow good practices while giving necessary advice in case of violations.
Kahramaa provides a unique experience to the visitors, as events were designed to simplify ideas so that children can learn how the economy rotates within cities, through interactive activities that simulate the realistic roles practiced by professionals in their field of Kahramaa.
KidZania Doha is located at Aspire Zone in Doha, with a footprint size of over 5,500 square meters. It provides a unique educational and entertainment experience, offering 42 establishments where children are able to role play ‘adult jobs’ in up to 60 pretend roles, learning a variety of values including self-reliance, teamwork, honesty, integrity, and giving back to society.

افتتحت المؤسسة العامة القطرية للكهرباء والماء «كهرماء»، صباح أمس الثلاثاء، مقرّها في مدينة الألعاب الترفيهية «كيدزانيا الدوحة»؛ بهدف التعريف بأنشطة المؤسسة وخدماتها من خلال دمج التعليم والترفيه، في إطار المسؤولية المجتمعية لـ «كهرماء»، بما يساهم في بناء مجتمع مستدام وفق رؤية قطر 2030.
وخلال حفل أقيم بهذه المناسبة بمدينة «كيدزانيا الدوحة»، قام السيد محمد علي المهندي مدير إدارة العلاقات العامة والاتصال بـ «كهرماء»، والسيد خالد علي المولوي رئيس الشؤون الإدارية في «سبيتار» -مؤسسة أسباير زون- عضو مجلس إدارة شركة قطر الترفيهية «تسالي»، بتوقيع اتفاقية الشراكة بين المؤسسة العامة القطرية للكهرباء والماء «كهرماء» وشركة قطر الترفيهية «تسالي»، بحضور عدد من مديري الإدارات ورؤساء الأقسام وممثلي الإدارات المعنية بمقر «كهرماء».
ويتكون مقر «كهرماء» من قسمين رئيسيين بمساحة حوالي 30 متراً مربعاً، تشمل سبعة أنشطة تعليمية وتثقيفية، تتناول أهم أعمال «كهرماء» وأنشطتها الرئيسية في مجال الكهرباء والماء والشبكات الذكية، وترشيد الاستهلاك وكفاءة الطاقة، والطاقة المتجددة، والموارد المائية وخدمات المشتركين، وغيرها، في مناخ تفاعلي مثالي للأطفال يساهم في تنمية مهاراتهم واكتساب معارف ومهارات جديدة مع المزيد من المتعة والتسلية.
أنشطة
ويجد زائر مقر «كهرماء» العديد من الأنشطة والفعاليات المتنوعة تمكّن الأطفال من التعرف على الحياة العملية الحقيقية واكتساب الخبرات منها؛ حيث يطّلع الأطفال من خلال المحاكاة الواقعية على طبيعة العمل بالمؤسسة بمجالاته المختلفة، وأهمية ممارسته، بما يعزز الانتماء ولعب دور فعّال كشريك في نهضة دولة قطر وتطورها.
ويتناول القسم الأول -الخاص بأنشطة الترشيد- جهود «كهرماء» من خلال البرنامج الوطني للترشيد وكفاءة الطاقة «ترشيد» في الحفاظ على الموارد وحماية البيئة من خلال عرض توضيحي مخصص للأطفال بطريقة إبداعية تناسب أعمارهم.
جهود
على جانب آخر؛ يوفر قسم الخدمات والموارد التعريف بجهود «كهرماء» وبرنامجها الوطني «ترشيد» في الحفاظ على موارد دولة قطر، والخدمات النوعية التي تقدّمها المؤسسة، والتي تتضمن إصلاح الأعطال والتسربات بما يضمن استدامة الخدمة والاستخدام الرشيد للموارد، مع عرض فيديو توضيحي للتوعية والتعريف بهذه الخدمات.
علاوة على ذلك؛ يوفر قسم الخدمات والموارد التدرّب على العمل كمهندس ألواح شمسية، من خلال تدريب الأطفال على تركيب وفك الألواح وإصلاحها لتوفير طاقة بديلة من الشمس، وكذلك العمل كمدقق لكفاءة الطاقة من خلال توعية الأطفال بأهم الممارسات الخاطئة في استهلاك الكهرباء والماء وأثرها على موارد الدولة والإضرار بالبيئة.
