Department of Meteorology warns of strong wind, thundery rain today

Doha: Weather inshore until 6 pm on Sunday will see misty at places at first becoming slightly dusty to blowing dust and partly cloudy with a chance of rain may be thundery at times, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of strong wind expected at places and thundery rain at times.
It also added on its social media that there are reports of rain in northern areas – Al Ghuwayriyah and its neighbouring places. The department said that there is increased chance of rain in coming hours.
Offshore, it will see cloudy with a chance of scattered rain may be thundery at times, the report added, warning of thundery rain or strong wind and High sea.
Wind inshore will be northwesterly at a speed of 12 to 22 knot gusting to 28 knot at places at times.
Offshore, it will be northwesterly at a speed of 15 to 25 knot, gusting to 35 knot with the thundery rain.
Visibility will be 4 to 8 or 2 kilometer or less at places at times.
Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet rises to 5 feet at times. Offshore, it will be 5 to 8 feet rises to 10 feet with thundery rain.
In an earlier report, the department had said that there will be rain and fall in temperatures on Sunday due to extension of low pressure system which will continue until Monday, January 6.

حذرت إدارة الأرصاد الجوية من رياح قوية متوقعة على بعض مناطق الساحل، وأمطار رعدية أحيانا ..ومن أمطار رعدية متوقعة مع رياح قوية وأمواج عالية
في عرض البحر.. وتوقعت أن يصاحب الطقس حتى الساعة السادسة مساء اليوم ضباب خفيف على بعض مناطق الساحل في البداية، ثم يصاحبه غبار خفيف إلى غبار مثار ويكون غائما جزئيا مع فرصة لأمطار قد تكون رعدية أحيانا .. وفي البحر يكون الطقس غائما ، مع فرصة لأمطار متفرقة قد تكون رعدية أحيانا.
وتكون الرياح على الساحل شمالية غربية بسرعة تتراوح بين 12 و22 عقدة، مع هبات تصل إلى 28 عقدة على بعض المناطق أحيانا .. وفي البحر تكون الرياح شمالية غربية بسرعة تتراوح بين 15 و25 عقدة، مع هبات تصل إلى 35 عقدة مع الأمطار الرعدية.
ويتراوح مدى الرؤية الأفقية بين 4 و8 كيلومترات، ينخفض إلى كيلومترين أو أقل على بعض المناطق أحيانا .
ويتراوح ارتفاع الموج على الساحل بين قدمين و4 أقدام يرتفع إلى 5 أقدام أحيانا.. وبين 5 و8 أقدام يرتفع إلى 10 أقدام مع الأمطار الرعدية في البحر.
أقصى درجة حرارة متوقعة في الدوحة /26/ درجة مئوية.
