Sheikh Joaan inaugurates Qatari Diar’s Anantara-Tozeur Resort in Tunisia

الشيخ جوعان يفتتح مشروع شركة الديار القطرية في تونس

DOHA: H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), yesterday inaugurated the Qatari Diar project in Tunisia, Anantara-Tozeur Resort, in the presence of a number of ministers, ambassadors, dignitaries and Qatari and Tunisian businessmen.

H E Sheikh Joaan said: “We are delighted to attend this distinguished occasion with the inauguration of the Qatari Diar project and are proud of the achievement by the company in Tunisia, reflecting the distinguished brotherly relations between the two countries and the bolstering of the economic relations between Qatar and Tunisia”..

H E Rene Trabelsi, Tunisian Minister of Tourism and Acting Minister of Transport, hailed the Qatari investments in Tunisia. Qatar’s investments in Tunisia are a testimony to the growing Qatari-Tunisian relations in all fields.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Diar, said: “At Qatari Diar, we are delighted to open this resort today, which we hope will be a significant addition to tourism in Tunisia.” Sheikh Khalid extended his thanks and gratitude to the Tunisian government for providing support and cooperation for making the project concept a reality.

Addressing the event, Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, CEO of Qatari Diar, said that the opening of this resort is the culmination of the company’s ongoing work over the past years. Qatari Diar purchased an area of 400,000 square meters in Tozeur, to create a distinctive desert resort based on the cultural heritage of the region to provide a distinct experience and experience bearing the imprint of Qatari Diar.

He pointed out that the company has allocated a huge investment as a budget for the project with a total investment value of more than 222 million Tunisian dinars (about QR284m).

He said that the company hired local expertise in the operation of the project, where 238 Tunisian employees, 72 percent of them from Tozeur, are employed in the project. These numbers are expected to increase in the future, expecting a positive impact on the community during the operating period.

Bill Heineke, Chairman of Minor Hotels Group, the owner of the Anantara brand, said: “The Qatari Diar project, Anantara-Tozeur, is one of the best Anantara hotels around the world and we are proud to select Al Diar.

The resort, which is fully owned by Qatari Diar, includes 93 hotel units, ranging from rooms, suites and villas, as well as two VIP villas.It features many health and spa facilities, a sports club, tennis courts, swimming pools, function rooms, cultural village, retail shops and restaurants.

The project was constructed and built by Qatari Diar in line with the development agreement signed between Qatari Diar and the Tunisian government with a total investment value of more than 222 million Tunisian dinars (about QR284m).

Anantara-Tozeur Resort will offer a luxurious new haven in the magnificent southwest of the city of Tozeur, known for being a center of desert adventure, architecture and vast palm fields, making it the choice of the original Star Wars film producers to film the scenes.

Tozeur offers easy access to cultural and desert activities through a unique oasis, and the new estate embodies the essence of authentic Anantara luxury through the exquisite design of local experiences.

Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company was established in 2005 as a subsidiary of the Qatar Investment Authority to support the growing Qatari economy and implement real estate development projects inside and outside Qatar. Qatari Diar has a capital of $8bn, with more than 60 projects under development in Qatar and 24 countries around the world, with investments of more than $35bn.

افتتح سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني، اليوم الأحد، مشروع شركة الديار القطرية في الجمهورية التونسية، منتجع أنانتارا-توزر وذلك بحضور وعدد من الوزراء والسفراء وكبار الشخصيات ورجال الأعمال القطريين والتونسيين. 

وقال سعادته – في تصريح بهذه المناسبة – “إننا سعداء اليوم بحضور هذه المناسبة المتميزة بافتتاح مشروع شركة الديار القطرية وفخورون بالإنجاز الذي حققته الشركة على الأراضي التونسية الشقيقة، والذي يجسد العلاقات الأخوية المتميزة بين البلدين ويزيد من حجم العلاقات الاقتصادية بين قطر وتونس “.

من جانبه، أشاد سعادة السيد روني الطرابلسي وزير السياحة والنقل والصناعات التقليدية التونسي بحجم العمل المنجز في المنتجع والذي يمثل استثمارا قطريا متميزا في الجمهورية التونسية وشاهدا حيا على متانة العلاقات القطرية التونسية المتميزة في جميع المجالات.

وقال سعادة الشيخ خالد بن خليفة آل ثاني رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة الديار القطرية – في كلمته بحفل الافتتاح – “إننا في شركة الديار القطرية سعداء بافتتاح هذا المنتجع اليوم والذي نتمنى أن يكون أحد الروافد الأساسية وإضافة متميزة للسياحة في الجمهورية التونسية”.

وأضاف: “أود أن أتقدم بجزيل الشكر للحكومة التونسية التي لم تدخر أي جهد وقدمت الدعم والتعاون المستمر للمشروع لكي يرى النور اليوم كثمرة لهذا التعاون المستمر وتجسيدا حيا لمتانة العلاقات الوطيدة بين الجمهورية التونسية ودولة قطر”.

من جهته، قال المهندس عبدالله بن حمد العطية الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة – خلال كلمته بحفل الافتتاح – ان افتتاح المنتجع اليوم يعد تكليلاً لعمل مستمر دؤوب قامت به الشركة على مدار السنوات السابقة منذ أن قامت شركة الديار القطرية بشراء مساحة 400 ألف متر مربع في منطقة توزر بغرض انشاء منتجع صحراوي متميز ينطلق من التراث الحضاري للمنطقة ليقدم خبرة وتجربة متميزة تحمل بصمة شركة الديار القطرية”.

وأضاف: خصصت الشركة استثمارا ضخما كميزانية للمشروع بقيمة استثمار اجمالية زادت عن 222 مليون دينار تونسي (حوالي 284 مليون ريال قطري)، مشيرا إلى أن الديار القطرية تسعى دائما إلى دعم المجتمعات المحلية التي تعمل فيها وقد تمثل هذا الدعم في استخدام خمس مقاولين محليين لجميع الأعمال في المشروع، كما ركزت على استخدام مواد محلية الصنع بلغت نسبتها قرابة 84% من المواد الخام المستخدمة في المشروع، واستعانت في تشغيل المشروع بالخبرات المحلية حيث يعمل في المشروع 238 موظف تونسي ، 72% منهم من توزر ، كما يصل عدد الموظفين المحليين في أوقات ذروة العمل إلى 500 موظف محلي ، قامت الشركة بتوظيفهم خلال فعالية اليوم المفتوح للتوظيف في أنانتارا يومي 28 و 29 أغسطس 2019 ومن المتوقع أن تزيد هذه الأعداد في المستقبل كما ونتوقع أن يستمر الأثر الإيجابي على المجتمع المحلي خلال فترة التشغيل .

بجوره، قال السيد بيل هاينيكي رئيس مجلس إدارة مجموعة فنادق مينور المالكة للعلامة التجارية أنانتارا “إن مشروع شركة الديار القطرية أنانتارا-توزر يعد بالنسبة لنا من أفضل فنادق أنانتارا حول العالم ، وإننا فخورون باختيار شركة الديار القطرية لمجموعة فنادق مينور العالمية لإدارة هذا المنتجع الفريد” .

منتجع أنانتارا توزر

ويقع منتجع أنانتارا-توزر في قلب الصحراء، على بعد 12 دقيقة بالسيارة من مطار توزر-نفطة الدولي، ويعد البوابة الفاخرة إلى سحر الصحراء، حيث الاستمتاع بالسكون والمغامرة والجمال الأخاذ.

ويشتمل المنتجع – المملوك بالكامل لشركة الديار القطرية – على 93 وحدة فندقية تتنوع ما بين الغرف والاجنحة والفيلات ، بالإضافة لفيلتين لكبار الشخصيات، كما يضم المنتجع العديد من المرافق الصحية والسبا ونادي رياضي وملاعب التنس وحمامات السباحة وقاعات المناسبات وقرية ثقافية ومحلات البيع بالتجزئة ومطاعم.

وتم إنشاء المشروع وبناؤه من قبل شركة الديار القطرية بما يتماشى مع اتفاقية التنمية والتطوير الموقعة بين الديار القطرية والحكومة التونسية.
